Küppersbusch has announced the addition of new downdraft extractor hobs to its range. The new range of hobs offers seven induction models with 60cm, 80cm and 90cm sizes.
The look can be customised by extractor ventilation grills in a choice of six colours.
The K-Series.8 2 in 1 extractor hob is the KMI9850.1SR-E, a new 90cm model, with Profil steel rotary controls to achieve precision cooking over 10 power levels.
The extractor sits integrated into the hob, with an extraction rate of 548m3/h and ten settings and is said to be extremely quiet at only 42dB.
Bodie Kelay, MD of Küppersbusch sales UK, said: “This type of discreet extraction offers retailers greater versatility, making them ideally suited for kitchen islands, compact spaces, and vaulted ceilings where locating standard versions may be a challenge. As a premium appliance manufacturer, Küppersbusch incorporates the latest smart technology into its induction hobs, automatically activating the extractor when cooking begins and adjusting the power levels according to which cooking zones are in use.”
It is interesting, and these downdraft-type hobs have become more common over the past decade, though they’re not loved by repairers as they’re not easy things to repair.
We couldn’t find a UK price for these new hobs, but don’t expect them to be cheap, as one indicator we did find puts the price in the range of €2700-3000+, so you can bet it’ll be £2500 or more here probably.
