Unpicking the truth from the convenient truths here could be a problem as Whirlpool have issued a press release as its shares have slid 13% since the Brexit vote took place last Thursday.

Which? have been looking into the ongoing safety notification or recall of Hotpoint, Indesit and Creda tumble dryers and, they’re not happy campers.

Whirlpool have reported a lower than expected first quarter earnings as cost and capacity reductions were offset by soft demand in emerging markets and unfavourable currency exchange rates, the company said.

It has been said that a fire incident that took place in Llanrwst, Wales in which two men sadly lost their lives may have been caused by a Whirlpool tumble dryer not currently subject to the ongoing safety notice.

Not wanting to be excluded from the smart appliance party Whirlpool has jumped onto the smart appliance bandwagon to compete with LG and Samsung, in partnership with Amazon.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports that Whirlpool is asking the U.S. government to impose duties on washing machines made by Korean rivals Samsung  Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc. in China.

As we reported a few days ago it appears that Whirlpool are to launch what may be the largest appliance recall we’ve ever seen for a potential fire risk.

Whirlpool who acquired Indesit last year including Hotpoint, Cannon, Creda etc, is planning huge investments in Poland ,Rzeczpospolita Daily reports.
