Employment group Remploy has joined forces with waste management firm Grundon, recycling firm Sims Group and logistics experts Wincanton to form the Revive Group to offer a service under Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
Revive intends to offer a “one-stop-shop” approach for companies and organisations that will be affected by the forthcoming WEEE Directive. Noel Harasyn, Remploy e-cycles general manager, said: “Our aim in Revive Group is to transform WEEE from being a business problem into becoming a commercial proposition while still ensuring we exceed legislative requirements.”
The group will provide transportation for WEEE throughout the UK, offering 177 sites, supported by a combined fleet of over 5,500 vehicles. The organisation will process commercial, domestic, difficult and hazardous WEEE in large and small quantities using either dedicated machinery or hand-dismantling.
