A teenager got more than he bargained for when he attempted to fetch some keys that he’d dropped in a washing machine.
The 15-year-old Norwegian got stuck inside the machine – and it took a crew of firefighters and a bottle of soap to get him out.
A fireman who helped in the rescue said that the teenager’s keys had dropped through to the bottom of a large washing machine in the basement of his block of flats.
So the boy decided to squeeze into the rotating drum and try and grab the keys.
But it didn’t quite go to plan.
The boy, who was 180 cms (5 feet 10 inches) tall, got stuck and was curled up in the drum for more than an hour.
Clean escape
The fire crew tried everything they could think of to get him out – without success.
Until they tried squirting soap over the boy to make him more slippery.
Then they wiggled him around until he popped out of the drum without a scratch – and quite a lot cleaner too!
