An inventor has filed a $100 million lawsuit against one of the world’s largest appliance makers.

The lawsuit against Electrolux will be heard here in El Paso.

John North claims that Electrolux stole his idea for a bag less vacuum cleaner. The lawsuit was filed in El Paso because North said he dealt with Electrolux through a local Eureka vacuum plant.

The Stockholm-based company is not commenting on the lawsuit.

The jury was selected Monday and the civil trial is set to begin Tuesday morning at 8:30.
