You know this whole “mine’s bigger than yours” thing is getting old enough in this industry but recently we’ve seen more and more of the “we’ve got more… than you” as well.
And so it goes on, the Chinese appliance producer Hisense has (for some reason we can’t fathom) decided to make a washing machine with three drums in it. Seriously, don’t ask us why as we’ve not got a clue what this is all about, we’re gobsmacked.
Of course in the self aggrandising press release that’s in full below, Hisense claims it is innovative and all the usual PR rubbish we usually see but doesn’t really explain what the point of it is other than, as is the case is some Asian markets, where undies and socks etc must be washed separately from all else.
Innovative though, not really. They just packed a bunch of stuff in one box.
Pointless, probably.
Limited market for it, for sure.

Hisense rolled out the world’s first innovative Triple-Drum washing machine at this year’s IFA in Berlin, one of the world’s largest trade shows for consumer electronics.
