As you will be aware by now the second UKW meeting was held over Friday and Saturday the 27th and 28th of February and went very well indeed.
A big thanks goes to Dave Conway who organised the venue as well as the accomodation and that all went flawlessly. Thanks also to Kevin Heath for chairing the meetings and the provision of some evening entertainment.
It was great to see Dave Parker from Electrue there and Richard Daley from ISDAL both of whom provided some great input and we hope they got some good information from the meeting as well.
Contrary to popular believe this was, in my opinion, a very constructive meeting and many ways forward for manufacturers, insurers and work providers were presented as well as positive ways forward for repairers as well. Much of what was said is open for discussion in the forums as ever and the meeting minutes are available in the “Downloads” section in both Word and PDF format.
There is more to come and lots of work to be done to get some of the ideas up and running, hopefully we’ll see some of it come to fruition in the coming weeks and months and have something positive to report for the next UKW meeting.
The next one will be during the summer months, (date yet to be confirmed) most likely at the same venue as it serverd us well and was reasonably accessable for most people. More on this as we get it organised.
Once again my thanks to those that worked to make this happen and to all those that took the time and trouble to attend the meeting.
