Yesterday evening UK Whitegoods, we believe, became the first website of its kind to enable the unique “Repairs@” service which delivers customers a very unique service by matching the customer’s postcode, product and type to a suitable repairer. We believe this to be the only service of its kind in the world presently and almost certainly the only one that offers the service at no cost.
This groundbreaking module that has been custom designed for PHP Nuke was designed over the past few months in partnership with Stropharia (www.stropharia.com) to deliver the best possible solution to the customer. Repairs@ offers customers the chance to find a service engineer relevant to their problem by entering some simple information to determine if a suitable engineer’s details are logged onto the system and, if there is a match, it will proceed to forward the information to the repairer whilst sending a receipt, as well as the repairer’s details, back to the customer.
All repairers taking part in the Repairs@ (now the engineer search) project have agreed in writing to provide a minimum standard of service and, at a later date, this will be overseen by a council of repairers to ensure that the high standards are maintained. Currently this is the only method in the UK of obtaining service on a whitegoods product that has such a service.
It is hoped that there will be significant benefit to our customers in choosing a more relevant repairer to suit their needs and provide a better quality of service.
