Well, one reason is that, for some reason I haven’t a note of your surname!! 😆
There is some more at the foot of this page that needs reviewed. The primary one being fees and what you all intend to do with them.

What do mean you dont know my surname, how long have we known each other now 😆
its Withers 😉
Ken when I made a suggestion at the meeting about the calibration testing Lawrence did come up with a suggestion that WTA could fund part or all it ❓Anyone else got a view on that ❓
If you like i could put a post up to see if we get any response, I think it was about 25 they could test but would need to clarify that.
This could be a carrott to dangle to see if we can get new recruites to the meeting in September.
I could ask for names if anyone interested first come first serve basis, if it prooves succesful could always lay another one in February at a consessionary rate 💡

Yeah thanks K,
Looking good 🙂
If things like that were published more readily available to the public, we’d cut out a whole load of ‘No Faults’ and Customer V Engineer disputes!
Customers naturally believe… Warranty = ‘Not my problem there is a coin gon through tub, its under warranty’!
So not only does that piece give advice to a customer, it can also serve as a referral point to send any future complainants to if any such issue arrise with a member 🙂

That was sorta the point. 😉
TBH the biggest gripes that you get on the phone, IME, is the waiting for parts, can’t get to the call for a few days and the why won’t the manufacturer pay ’cause I’m a muppet.
The point of the articles in many ways was to give, as John put it, a bad news sandwich. That is to say, this is the legal position (if there is one) and look how poor the industry standards actually are. Followed by, better than that, how we operate, followed by this is what we expect and if members operate outside these ideals then by all means get in touch. At the same time saying that, if it’s not outside these parameters, there’s not much we can do.
All the while saying that, if it’s not a WTA member that you’ve used, we can’t do Jack Shmitt about it and we probably won’t much care. 😉
Also saying to the repairers, don’t expect us to back you up if you’re not a member because, we won’t.
Can I assume it’s okay to allow them to go live to the public?

Ken
In the listing of non faults, you have a list of problems etc relating to washing / drying..
How about my washing is coming out damaged or holes in clothing, not a fault with machine its due to the fact they havent read the friggin care label?
If it says wash at 30 slow or no spin, dont wash it on 40 1600 spin :rolls:

Well…
The aim was to keep it as punchy as I could and not too weighty. But, like you, I spotted a whole heap of things that should be there that, aren’t.
So, my thinking was to do a much more comprehensive list and a bit more expansive text on a full on article here as the space is here to do it. Plus, I can say a lot on here I really can’t/shouldn’t on the TA site. 😉

Also, WTA members websites. There are 6 listed. As one would assume any member would have their website advertised FOC as part of membership, it’s easy to assume as Joe Public, we have like 6 members!
I’ve just been onto DASA site, they publish their members list… I think that’s a good thing, should we do the same?
Ade 🙂
