Robert Bosch Hausger¤te GmbH introduced the Logixx 9 New Dimension washing machine with an extra-large drum giving it 9 KG laundry capacity, said to make it the largest consumer washing machine available in Germany. The new washing machine follows a trend in the European market toward larger capacities.
The drum is configured at a tilted angle and features curved paddles designed to move the wash load left to right and back and forth. The 3-D action is designed to optimally distribute laundry while the increased interior space allows it to be spread out more freely. The nature of the wash action, the company says, washes delicate items such as silk and cashmere more gently, while wrinkles are reduced,
Fifteen wash programs include the TextileProtec program. Three wash intensity settings are Normal, Quick and Intensive to give the unit more wash flexibility.
The unit is designed for ergonomics, with the tilted configuration of the drum and loading via the U-shaped door is said to be easier, as if accessing the controls, which are placed atop the appliance. An additional plinth is available to make the unit more convenient for extra-tall users.
The 41 cm diameter opening on the washing machine is said to be the largest door opening in the world. The unit is also built to be especially solid, with sound-absorbing components to reduce motor and drum noise, unwelded joints and solid door hinge.
