CHICAGO, March 16 /PRNewswire/ — Bosch, a leading manufacturer of high- end home appliances known for superior performance and excellent quality, will unveil the latest additions to its expanding line of small appliances at the International Housewares Show on March 20th — 22nd. In 2004, Bosch introduces two compact toasters; a sandwich maker; two versatile hand blenders; a gourmet food chopper; a citrus juicer; a practical water kettle; and a new high-performance steam iron to its product lineup.

All products will be showcased at the company’s booth, #L12343, at the McCormick Place convention facilities in Chicago.

The new additions join a diverse product portfolio including hand mixers; a gourmet food slicer; steam irons; and the Premium line of quiet vacuum cleaners with advanced filtration. Completing the small appliances product offerings are Bosch’s powerful Kitchen Machines, food processors and blenders; and award-winning F.A. Porsche Designer Series products which include a blender, juicer, water kettle and coffee maker.

“As we continue to expand our offering of small appliances, our dedication to developing products inspired by the needs and lifestyle of today’s consumers remains constant,” said Franz J. Bosshard, president and CEO. “This year, with our new additions to the product lineup, we are offering even more ways than ever for consumers to make their everyday lives easier and more efficient.”

New Toasters Combine Sleek Design and Simple Operation

Bosch brings its consumer-focused approach to a new series of toasters. The two models feature 950 watts of power, an automatic bread centering system, a flat heating element for evenly toasted bread and an illuminated monitor for consistent toasting performance. For increased safety, the toasters also includes an auto-shut off function and extended lift feature when bread is stuck. The removable bread crumb drawer makes the toasters easy to clean and the space-saving frontal design make them easy to integrate into any kitchen. The toaster’s convenient fold-away rack is ideal for warming rolls, buns and donuts. The top model also features a defrost setting and a reheat function.

Sandwich Maker Is Sandwich-Making Made Easy

Bosch introduces a 750-watt sandwich maker that makes it easy to create hot, restaurant-style sandwiches in a snap. The perfect tool for busy families looking for efficient ways to create tasty, simple meals, consumers need only seal bread and ingredients into the sandwich maker to create perfectly grilled sandwiches. With non-stick baking plates, the sandwich maker is easy to clean, and for safety, the outer housing remains cool to the touch during operation. The cord can easily be hidden and the device also stands upright for convenient, space saving storage.

Citrus Juicer Makes Juice in a Squeeze

Bosch’s new citrus juicer takes the hassle out of squeezing juice from small or large fruits. Featuring a universal press cone that works with any citrus fruit, the cone rotates in two different alternating directions for maximum juice extraction. The citrus juicer also includes a simple automatic on/off switch and a handy pulp selector to easily make fresh juice with just the right consistency. All parts except for the motor are dishwasher safe and the unit stores conveniently with a cord storage unit and dust cover.

A Chopper on the Cutting Edge

Bosch’s new chopper speeds up the food preparation process with minimal mess and clean-up time. This 350-watt device features 3.5 cups of capacity, a simple on-off pulse switch and a stainless steel universal blade to complete a multitude of chopping needs. All parts, excluding the blade, are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Hand Blenders Mix Versatility and Efficiency

Whether its pureeing soups, chopping onions or blending smoothies, the versatility of Bosch’s new hand blenders make them must-have kitchen tools. Each of the two new models feature 250-watts of power, a lightweight design and ergonomic non-slip grip handle. The non-splash base minimizes messy splashes and is also heat resistant, making it easy to blend directly into a warm pot cooking on the stove. The blender foot also detaches for easy cleaning and is dishwasher safe. After use, a stainless steel loop makes storage convenient. The top model also includes a transparent mixing cup, chopping cup attachment and specially shaped blades for even more blending versatility. The mixing and chopping cups come with lids for leftover food storage.

Water Kettle Offers Classic Styling

Ideal for making tea, hot chocolate or instant soups, this sleek, 1500- watt stainless steel kettle does more than just boil water. Its smooth steel heating base allows for improved water quality, lowering susceptibility to lime-scale and increasing the life of this convenient kitchen tool. It also has many safety features including an automatic lid opening function to avoid coming into contact with steam and an automatic stop feature when the lid is opened or when water reaches a boiling point. A 360 degree illuminated ring indicates the appliance is in use and a clear inspection window allows observation of the boiling process. The cordless 6-cup carafe can be transported to the table, office or patio.

New High-Performance Iron Added to Bosch’s Collection

A new steam iron joins Bosch’s existing collection. The latest model features 1200-watts of power and a continuous steam system that adapts steam level to different fabrics. With 17 steam vents for consistent and thorough steam distribution, the iron is sure to provide a burst of steam where you need it. The new model also features a stainless steel soleplate for smooth gliding over all fabrics and a convenient automatic self-clean function. The inventive swivel joint found in all Bosch irons keeps the cord up and out of the way, making it comfortable for both right- and left-handed users.
