Faber, the Italian cooker hood manufacturer have launched a cooker hood that combines climate control, the ability to both heat and cool. We assume that this is by way of a heat pump AC unit buried in the cooker hood which, doesn’t look exactly small.

Named the Klima, the dual-function hood controls the climate in your kitchen while it purifies the air above your stove. Offering four settings for fume extraction at 270, 420, 580 and 715 m3/h and both temperature-controlled heating and cooling. The ‘A’ energy rated Faber Klima offers 2.8 kW cooling and 2.9 kW heating capabilities.
It also includes sound-absorbing panels and an energy diffuser, both of which make it run quietly enough to keep running 24 hours a day.

Other key features include remote control, electronic control panel with digital display, 3 bright lights 20 watts each, dishwasher-safe cassette filter, Faber perimeter aspiration system with sound-absorbing panels, energy diffuser for higher hood efficiency and reduced noise, and filter saturation alarm.
Finally, the hood Key 24 function permits the hood to run 24 hours a day for continuous air renewal with noise imperceptible to the human ear while Delayed Switch-off allows automatic delayed motor shut off to fully eliminate residual odours.
The Faber Klima is available in black or silver.
It’s a bit whacky and although no pricing has yet been released, don’t expect it to be cheap to buy or install.
