New Zealand-based appliance maker Fisher & Paykel (F&P) has signed a dealer agreement with specialty retail chain Noel Leeming, making the chain New Zealand’s largest specialist appliance retailer of F&P products.
According to the company, F&P and Whirlpool products will be sold in Noel Leeming’s 45 stores from late April 2005. Last year, Harvey Norman decided not to renew its exclusive agreement with F&P after a 7 year partnership, saying customers wanted more choice.
In other news, F&P said it will take over distribution of Whirlpool products in Singapore, starting March 21, 2005.
F&P already has exclusive rights to distribute Whirlpool products in New Zealand and signed a deal last year to supply Whirlpool to the U.S.-based Lowe’s home improvement retail chain.
