You don’t need a special tool; just clamp the spring to the seal in the 12 o’clock position with one of those big black plastic clamps to prevent it popping off, then you can work the rest of the spring round the seal easily. It only takes a few seconds.

You’re right, when you have done a few it only takes a few seconds with the clamp.

Either this is a bloody long and good windup, or many here have weak fingers and no washing up liquid. Zanussi seal’s are one of the easiest to do.

When using it i don’t hold it by the handle, i hold it by the shaft instead which allows it to rotate as it goes around the seal 😉 Plenty of ‘Oooh Matron’ opportunities there then 😆
