Electrolux fan Oven EOB5630 keeps cutting out

We have an Electrolux electric fan oven Ref EOB5630, which starts to heat up the fan and internal light and grill all work. But when the oven has been on for between 5 minutes and 15 minutes it cuts out, and the top control panel gets very hot. The oven and fan will only work again if it left to cool down.
Would appreciate it there is anybody who knows what this might be and whether a replacement part is necessary.

I think I know what the problem may be but can you check around the door(s) please for the PNC (product code) beginning 9441….. as there are four versions of this oven 🙂

It’s more than likely the thermal cut out unit, quite a common failing point with this fault. Obviously this is a remote diagnosis so if you’re unsure please ask an engineer to check for you, Repairs@ should provide one 🙂

The link was for an AEG thermal cut out, presume this is not correct, looks like I’ll have to try to track down the correct Thermal cut out, any other ideas for parts?? 😆 😆

Sorry, I should have mentioned….

Electrolux (the Mother company) own AEG, Zanussi, Tricity-Bendix, Moffat, among a few others, they’re all the same product 😉

It’s the right part 🙂

Thermal cut out arrived today fitted it and the oven has been working for 45 minutes no problem and the control panel facia is now not getting hot.I did notice that the old thermal cut out was blackened. Many thanks Dave

Yeah you turn off the power pull the oven out of the unit take off the top 2 screws and disconnect 4 spade clips and reconnect 4 new spade clips. Job done in about 10 minutes.

Hi Dave,

I was reading this article with interest as I have the ame problem with a Electrolux EOB6630XK which is just over a year old.

The PNC number for this unit is 944 182 624.

Would the same part number quoted be compatible with this model of oven.

Found this thread from a Google search on Monday…..we had exactly the same issue with our AEG oven.

Bought the part recommended by Dave online from Whitegoods – it arrived today…fitted it and it was sorted straightway.

Dave – you are the Daddy…thought I was looking at replacing an oven only just out of warranty 😆 😆 😆 😆

Only slight issue is that I got a bit distracted and removed all spades at the same time (mistake) – now hoping that I put them all back in right place 😳 . Works fine though…surely it wouldn’t if I hadn’t? Any reassurance gratefully received.
