How do we stand in trying to get the customer to pay us for the job. Difficult I know as they feel they have already paid once, but they have parts in their dishwasher that I supplied.

Its all experience and hopefully through here we can get some nice working relationships.

Sure glad I didnt bother with the one job I was offered.
The customer actually phoned me and explained how the website totally confused her, she thought she was dealing with a company in the local area, thats the idea behind outfits like these though isn’t it.Eddie.

On occasion, we do good. 😉
Perhaps to others detriment, but heh, you can’t win them all. 🙂
I suspect that Go Local may be suffering from a lack of the ability to pay anyone anything.
I’d point out that this has nothing to do with me. It might have something to do with Go Local not paying certain people that read these forums and didn’t take not being paid well at all, then sorted that.
Let’s just say that, should the party responsible wish to take credit, you should thank him for saving you the grief.

Bit late in payment (no payment, queried it with them and they got back later the same day saying a cheque was sent but not cashed, I replied I can take card or BACS and was paid straight away) so I haven’t had any real major problems with them, apart from getting jumpy because of all the stuff on here.

Yup..professional looking site.. with the exception that the whole site is about fridge repairs and the guy on the picture is repairing a tumble dryer.

Here in the Thames Valley Go Local don’t have much of a search engine standing. On most searches they come up on page 5 at best. So finding their site down here would be more down to bad luck than anything competitive.

Generic picture I’m afraid. UKW & DASA use this image.
I have put my staff on alert should we receive a phone call or enquiry of any sort.

There are several errors on that page, which would appear to be a landing page only, that would make it not relevant to many searches and have it marked down on Google.
I wouldn’t worry about it.
