I had a call from their 0845 phone number on Thursday last week, unfortunately I wasn’t around at the time and they didn’t leave any message. Presume they wanted to book a call, we always ask for card details or work on a pro-forma invoice before undertaking such work but these companies always refuse. I would rather loose a job than probably work for nothing.

I wouldn’t be too bothered either as I just got sent this…
Seems that Golocal has gone. 😉
Jackal was right then.
But, sorry if you have done work for them and haven’t been paid, chances are that you will not now get paid I wouldn’t think.

I have litterally in the last two minutes had them on the phone asking me to do work from them. Stangely they were using a mobile number not land line.
Despite work being a bit quiet, I politely declined…May 16, 2012 at 1:32 pm #365862Jackal

Go local is obviously a scam to trick the general public into parting with their hard earned, suely Trading Standards should be on to this sharpish

Yes, as far as I am aware.
However whether anyone will work for them is a whole other kettle of fish, I know I wouldn’t do so with what we now know.

Had them on the phone to me yesterday…(Daniel himself)
Insisted he had a list of 32 companys he owed money to and he is in the process of paying them…….
Then asked me how much they owed me…..me being honest said you dont owe me a penny but i know lots that you do owe….then got talking and he asked me if I would do work for them if he paid UP FRONT. I said you got more chance of me doing work for you if I got paid up front than if you dont pay me up front…LOL!Jazz

Hang on, he has a list of companies he owes but has to ask if he owes you anything. 😕
Ehm, you don’t have to be Sherlock to work that something’s off there.

Then what have you got to lose, why not take up the offer?

So if he has sufficient funds to pay up front, why is he not paying the engineers he has shafted already?
Also with ALL that Comet work he is supposed to be getting, you know the ones Comet don’t know anything about, he should have loads to share around.
Interesting though, nationally he only owes 32 agents or so he claims, which incidentally is different to the story he gave the High Court Enforcement Officer (High Court Sheriff) last week when he levied on the warrant I had issued.
He managed to suddenly pay up when faced with that!
