One of the companies I work alongside in Nottingham are being asked to do work for these people.
Slightly different name (Go Local Repairs Ltd), but It’s the same M.O. Taking credit card charges up front off the customer etc.I’ve warned them, but that’s all I can do.

We’ve been doing work for them for about 3 months now. I have never had to chase payment, paid straight into my account with no issues.
I did have a frank discussion with Daniel before we started taking jobs and based on the answers of that conversation we decided to take there work.
I get paid the same rate for a fix or BER, I invoice as soon as job is complete and I get paid on the pay run once a month. Simples.

This is in regard to Go Local. Before doing first job told them to pay me up front . They agreed and i did job and guess what they had not paid . Have phoned several times always going to do payment run but money never arrives . Now looks like small claims court . Deal with this lot at your peril.

So, let me see if I’ve got this correct….Mario refers to Golocal reactive that went bust a while back. Whereas Stevebunyan refers to Go Local repairs Ltd? Same governor (Daniel)though?

Sorry guys I did try to warn you what I was doing with this shower. I just hope some people listened.

Hi. Just thought I would add my experience to this thread.
I had already taken on work from them before I saw this and other threads about GoLocal. Apparently he closed down GoLocal Reactive Ltd the day after passing me two jobs but before I had invoiced them. Nice! After many telephone calls and emails to them I got nowhere so contacted Jackal for some advice. I must say I am glad I did because he helped me to draft a letter to them threatening court action which (eventually) produced results. Last Thursday I was paid the amount owed for the repairs carried out in April, but more importantly only a few weeks after Jackal became involved.
I wish to offer my thanks Jackal for your help and encouragement to pursue these buggers, and to advise anyone else with outstanding debts with any of GoLocal companies to continue to go after them until paid.
As to the future, once bitten…….

Well done Jackal and glad you got your money Gerry.
Another + for UKWG as well because I know there are many of us (including myself) who would have been in Gerrys’ position had it not been for this forum. I too learn’t about “Golocal” in it’s various form from this forum. Well done all.
Now come on team GB, let’s see what you’re made of.

Yep
Now they are trading / ripping off people under the name of Go Local Repairs Limited and MyLocalRepairs Limited.
Is it me alone that thinks that if your first attempt to run a business caused you to rack up CCJ’s and then send the company bust within 14 months owing lots to a lot, and having being caught out lying about the acquisition of a contract you could possibly even get near to holding, that trying it for a second time and then a third time isnt really the way forward for any honest trader?
These Phoenix entities IMHO are nothing but a front to a sham designed to rip every one off, but thats my point of view.

Made the mistake of working for these cowboys, just go paid today after chasing them for the last four months. It was only after I threatened them with legal action that they paid up.
The excuses they fob you off with when you ring them up are laughable.
Do not do any work for these people, you will reget it!
