5 flashes = Faulty NTC Temperature Reading Probe and/or Wiring
and/or “Core” Board.January 31, 2012 at 5:24 pm #368122john_d

That didn’t come up on GIAS.
Yes the parts will be available but you will need to know what you need.

Wiring connections are the first thing to check, look for loose or broken connections to NTC.
Resistance of NTC at room temp should be checked and if possible a ‘hot water’ test on the NTC with it removed from the machine using a cup of hot or near boiling water to see if the values alter with change in temperature.

That’s for fridges but the same general principles apply.
You also need to check the connectors and wiring are good then, once all that’s eliminated start thinking about the board.
If you don’t check it and order a board you could end up with an expensive controller and the same problem.

That seems about right, can still be faulty or be due to bad connections between NTC and PCB.
The bottom line is that a new NTC is a few pounds, a PCB is serious money.
