KeymasterWell its happened and its been on the cards for a while and ISDAL is parting company with L.G. as of 21 may 2004.
Knowing L.G.’s rejection rate it would be a good idea to make sure all your paperwork is upto date and completed by this time and sent in to ISDAL as early as possible after that date.
But coming to the fact that L.G. have made massive profits in the first quarter, its a pity they could’nt incease the rates they was paying.

KeymasterYep ISDAL have handled it very well indeed and I have to commend the way that it has been done.
I know who has it now but I’ve not been given the okay to say anything, so I won’t for now. You’ll find out soon enough anyway.

May go some way to explain why they have been charm personified and finally settled their account with me.
The cynical way I look at this is, they have decided to clear their history and make way for a new beginning. However I’m pretty sure there are others out there who may be still owed.
I’ve a gut feeling I know who has got the contract.

yup
Connect has got the contract, Wonder if they’ll put up with as much crap and rejects as ISDAL has for the past years.

Is it LG’s decision though ? Or have ISDAL got fed up with constant money chasing, parts returns and rejected invoices.

I am supposed to be an agent in my own right, yet they have not had the courtesy to tell me direct, I hear from the ISDA channel. No surprises there.
All I can say is: CDSL welcome to the world of frustration that we have endured for the last few years.
Duplicated orders they refuse to authorise returns depite it being their software problem.
Waiting YEARS, yes I said YEARS for some invoices to be settled.
Modified part numbers technical give out to us, but the parts division refuse to recognise the number & won’t allow us to order.
Staff members at Slough who will not liaise with colleagues/other staff members.
The delays in getting authority numbers for BER repairs.
The website which has potential, but tends to crash or time out.
I’m sure Richard won’t mourn their passing, but will no doubt keep his head down as he must be owed a £ or two.

Not forgetting LG’s crappy web site access or lack of it, ISDAL are well done with it like I am now!

I hope connect know what they’re doing as they could get dragged down by this shower.
They are going to need call handlers with asbestos ears if L.G. stick to form, they bragg about a five year guarantee and then proceed to inform their customers of the long list of things that are not covered. As usual it’s the engineer who takes the brunt of their anger. Perhaps connect should have had a long chat with Richard first.
You know the old saying ” Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it ! “Let’s hope it does’nt all end in tears as it has done so many times in the past where L.G. are involved.

KeymasterRe: I.S.D.AL. & L.G.
Knowing what ISDAL was willing to write off as in bad debt and rejected invoices with L.G. and to get things sorted out I would say that ISDAL has told them enough is enough as they cannot keep losing money when L.G. reject invoices months later after ISDAL have paid the engineers for the work.
As for technical assistance its as much use as a chocolate mug.
As for the spares that I keep in stock for their customers, when the 21st comes along all unused parts will be returned by hand and payment for my spares account will be with held for that amount and argue the case in court if need be.

KeymasterI’ve never worked for LG, from what I’m hearing here I don’t know if I want to either, even a good rate can be offset by problems with spares alone, as witnessed with another of our Korean friends recently.
But to add in all the horror stories I’ve heard on this is just getting downright silly, from what I’m being told you almost need a handbook to know what is and what is not covered by warranty. Then you have to try to get money out the end user who will insist on not stumping up as “they have a warranty”, if only I had a £1 for every time I’d heard that! 😕
On top of that spares supplies problems, payment issues (like not getting any) and a lack of technical information.
However that said, maybe we should all wait and see what the score is with CDSL before bumping our gums too much about it. You never know, it may be a better deal and it’s only fair to give them a chance. Although I do realise that LG and Samsung are not exactly the best liked within the industry.

❓
Is it possible that, as many of the LG issues were spares related, that the possible union with a spares supplier will be a good one??Time will tell, but my memory of Lg is still clouded with previous troubles and i hope we dont have any issues this time.
