Nope, exchanged twice. Apparently memory also affected.
First for a small scratch.
Second because John broke it getting the machine in.
Hardly damning.

We need to watch Mike Day’s IP addresses as I’m getting more and more convinced that different people are posting using that one account.

Hmm, not too sure about that.
He is posting from home/work which is an Ntl/Virgin Media IP and also using a mobile connection which is 3 Mobile/Hutchinson telecoms.
Most of his Ntl posts are from the Cambridge headend but some just show Hampshire, now Hook in Hampshire is/was the head office of Ntl.
I have been with Ntl/Virgin Media for many years and unless I have had a modem/router problem or other reason to refresh my IP 😉 it remains fairly static as you can see by the 1000’s of posts from the same IP. They nearly all emanate from the Oldham hub which is actually on Featherstall Rd in Oldham.
However if you check some of the less frequent IP’s in my ‘information’ you will see that some of them only show the main headend which for years was known as Bromley for this area. The main Ntl network was based on two main ‘super’ headends, Bromley and Langley plus one small mainly ‘in house’ network although these have now all been merged. A significant number of my posts are listed as from the Peterborough headend, the last time I was in Peterborough was 36 years ago on a dishwasher course at Celta Rd. 8)
TBH I go more by gut instinct and the tone of the posts plus the quality of the spelling and grammar. Mike Days posts are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, I can’t think of one that I have read ( or scanned quickly with glazed eyes :rolls: ) that screams ‘this is not Mike Day’ yet.
Although I have to admit that for a couple of days his posts did seem more thoughtful and considerate, he has lapsed back into his arrogant, belligerent style.

Indeed, it’s the Jekyll and Hyde thing I’m concerned about.

I think I’ve managed to remove the ability for that account to send PMs.
Bl00dy permissions!!! 😕
I really am getting sick of his/their cr4p though.

He, they or them (carnt tell what) are pr*tts no doubt but to be honest I cannot be the only one that thinks that his postings did nothing but show the 0800/DASA connection in the poorest light possible.
Or I might just be alone on this one :eeek:

Nope, that’s exactly what it did, you’re not alone at all.
They have completely ballsed this up from start to finish with an aplomb for c0ck ups and idiocy I’ve never before witnessed.
Now, try to work out which party the above relates to, 0800 or DASA? :snigger:

Reading through John S.1’s previous posts before the ‘Appliance Academy’ thread would suggest that its a recent venture to try and recoup his JTM losses. 😕

I’d think that it was some sort of sideline as well.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that it is this company re-invented:
http://www.appliancecare-harlow.co.uk/
Could be residential, could be a shop for bother the above and the academy address, on Google Maps here:

Despite what Martin says you can’t see the damned premises. :rolls:

Appliance care Harlow are a very long established indy, they started around the same time as us in the 70’s and based in Harlow, The photo is of the rear of their premesis which is a shop in small shopping mall. The Proprietor or one partner at any rate died about 5 years ago. We dont have much to do with them and have a friendly respect for each other, drivers usually wave as we pass but thats about it. They were a very big LEC agent once and I guess loosing that hurt them. They are an AMICA dealer however as most of the Amica jobs I have had in Harlow are their sales. This is the first I have heard about a training acadamy however and can shed no further light on the subject.

Surely you mean £10 per student, per day and not per week? As their classes are maxed at 8? That would mean £80 Per week for a Whitegoods Trainer if by the week as opposed to a more realistic £400 PW if by the day?
Ade 🙂

So, Mike Day…
Who’s rewriting his posts now so they don’t say what he wrote or intended?
Sometimes people really annoy me with their sh1t.
