If your TCL washing machine is displaying an error code, it can be frustrating and confusing. Here’s a breakdown of the most common TCL washing machine error codes, what they mean, and how to fix them: This is a general guide least for the FF series
E1: This error code indicates that the washer is filling up with water too slowly. Check to make sure the tap is turned on, the water pressure is adequate, and the inlet hose is not blocked.
E2: If you see this error code, it means that there is a drainage issue. Check to see if the drain pump`s filter is clogged. Or something jamming the pump`s impeller. Or on a new build house the under the sink drainage nozzle`s bung has not been removed by Bob the builder or the end of the nozzle has not been cut off; both = no pump out.
E3: This error code means that the door lock is broken. Ensure that the door is closed properly and check if any clothes are caught between the door and the seal. Very important this one otherwise you get a torn door seal lip =£££
E4: If your washing machine is overflowing with water: check valve, `check` pressure switch** and its hose and the air chamber.
** Do not blow into the pressure switch as you`ll ruin. In the practical real world it basically cannot be tested only replaced – they seldom fail which is lucky because they are not cheap for these machines for reasons that defy all reason!
E5: This error code indicates that the electrical motor is broken.
E6: If you see this error code, it means that the heater is not working.
E7: This error code indicates that there is a temperature sensor fault. known fault broken wire in loom where loom is anchored to tank
E9: If you see this error code, it means there is a communication failure between components.
E10: This error code indicates that there is an inverter failure unclear if this points to inverter pcb or inverter motor which should be E5.
EP: If you see this error code, it means that the procedure running does not correspond to the cycle that the knob is pointing to. Turn the cycle selector to the corresponding cycle for the procedure that is running. -
