ParticipantGood afternoon,
I have recently had an issue whereby the fan oven and clock have stopped working. Like me you felt this could be clock related as all other electrics work fine. I have just purchased part number EL145/280.121 from you and just finished installing. However still no joy with oven or clock. I have noticed that the original clock part number is EL145/280.64A.
Do you think the replacement part I ordered is not compatible?
Thanks.

Did you check the oven safety thermostat, this part was okay? They have a nasty habit of failing and cause symptoms like that to manifest.
The clock will be fine, it’ll just be an update. Work off the part number and not the production numbers on the part itself as they do change over time quite often.

Thanks K,
No, I haven’t checked this part, wish I had as looks a lot cheaper than the clock.

Hello,
Just ordered the thermostat, so will let you know how I get on, before anyone else makes the expensive mistake of taking the advice of changing the clock first.

Help,
As mentioned previously the the clock was not the issue, so I have now purchased the thermostat you have suggested. However I cannot find where this is located. I have the back and top off the cooker and there is no part that resembles the thermostat. In the fan oven there is a wire located next to the fan which runs up to the fan oven control.
Please could you help?June 4, 2011 at 1:17 pm #352420kwatt

They’re usually mounted on the rear of the oven cavity or on the top of it.

Thanks K, I’ll take another look. The thermostat on the fan oven looks like this part, 263100016 – Beko Oven Thermostat.
Is the safety thermostat part definately in this model?

The only electrical parts on the back of the oven are the light, fan, element and thermostat wire. Above the fan oven is the grill and no wires appear to run there. Are you sure you are looking at the correct model oven?

Yes, it’s definitely listed as being used in that model.
I’m trying to get on the system to see where it’s fitted but I’ve not used it outside the office before now. 😉

Okay then, this is good stuff…
Attached here is what we see when we look up these parts…
And there is a note on these cut outs that shows and stresses that they must be correctly fitted or the fault will reoccur, pictures even for a change…
That’s as much info as I can give you other than that, yes, it is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that the thermal cut out is fitted on that cooker.

Thanks for the effort and the pictures. Looks like my model differs slightly as the part certainly is not where the photo shows.
Looks like I need to call out an engineer.

Did you buy the part from UKW?
I ask because, on the product page there’s those pics and also a photo of how the original one looked as it’s been changed.
If you didn’t buy from us and just went off Googling the part number to get the lowest price on the planet you probably didn’t get all the info. 😉

The part I purchased was not from UKW. You gave me the link to the correct part which I did search for on the internet and did source cheaper, having just purchased the clock from UKW, for nearly £60, which didn’t fix the problem as suggested.
My father in law has just taken a look with me and this part is not located where the photo shows. I have also taken the back off the conventional oven and it is not there either. I can only guess that this part is located somewhere under the hob, doesn’t exist on my oven or is a different part.

The original one doesn’t look the same as shown in the first photo at the bottom.
