Hi K,
Hopefully these pictures highlight significant footage for you to tell. They feel like screw threads which is why I’m slightly bemused.
Thanks,
Daniel

….and another view for good measure. You can just see where the element has split and sprayed the back of the cooker!

Yup, looks like it’s one of the rare ones that you have to do from the back. 🙁

Rare normally means good, but in this case I’m not so sure. Do you think I’ll be ok screwing back on from the front once I get them off as surely this is more sensible. Thanks, Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Without seeing the setup I don’t know but I suspect it might not be possible depending on the element bracket. That said, I’d probably do exactly the same as the fan element is the most likely to fail so it’d make life much easier if it pops again.

Hi K,
Wanted to say that the element worked. Very fiddly to do coming from the back, but would be required again to take elecircal wores on and off so screws went back in the base of the unit. Good thing was I got to give the oven a good clean too. Many thanks for all your great help – vastly appreciated.
Any chance you know about dishwashers? The rotary arm on the botton of our integrated Kenwood washer hasn’t spun for a couple of years now, but with new found confidence thought you may have a trick up your sleave?
Thanks again, Daniel

Hi
I have the above single oven model and the display clock/light has stopped working…about a year ago! The fan and oven work and even the timer will still make sound if we push the buttons wrong sometimes. The part number on the unit inside is EL145/280.64A and underneath that is Invensys D78559. Can someone tell me what is wrong with it as I want to rent my flat out and have this fixed for the tenant. If I need a part can someone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks in anticipation!

I know this is late for people asking about the thermal fuse. But on older model cookmaster 100 CM10FRC, the original thermal fuse is just in some sheathing in the cable and this goes through a small clamp which connects it to the oven thermally. So it just looks like ordinary wire with some sheathing. I assume to fit the new part shown in the pictures above you also need some new wiring as the old thermal fuse cant be removed from the wire.

Hi we’ve had the same trouble with the clock and fan oven not working. We purchased the safety thermostat following advice on here. Our cooker is the dual fuel version but in the pictures (on the part ad) there is no gas pipe so am assuming that the oven pictured is an electric one. The pictures show the position of the safety thermostat but when taking off the back panel I cannot see where this is. There is nothing that resembles this on my oven. Is it located somewhere else on a dual fuel oven?

That’s definitely the right one but, sometimes they hide them. 😉
The original would look like this:
The one you would get, as it has been replaced and now only this version is available, is this one:
Th original just looks like a normal wire with a bit of heat shrink on it, it won’t look the same.
