K,
The first photo at the bottom appears to show something attached to the outside back of the oven itself. The following photo’s are showing the cut out attached to a bracket. As mentioned previously, the only electrical connections on the back of my fan oven are the fan, light and element. All of the wires in the wiring loom, which are shown in the photo’s, are solid on my oven and do not have any breaks with connectors.
This part certainly does not appear to exist on my model, on either oven, or is located in a completely different place. Very stuck.June 5, 2011 at 3:27 pm #352431kwatt

It is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} listed for that model and there is a safety fitted.
Item 477 on the blowout. Looks like a little square under the controls. Listed on the Beko system (who make it) as: 477 – 210110544 – THERMAL CUT-OUT+SHEET+SCREW GROUP
It did look like this.

Thanks K,
Still a bit dubious as the description doesn’t mention my model oven, plus says for small/top oven. In the mean time I have contacted Leisure, so will let you know how I get on. If I get to pull the oven out again this week I’ll check out part 477.

Hi
Where the picture in the above post shows the new style stat is there a wire clamped to that bracket, the original stat is no longer avaliable. You just cut out the original and replace with the new one and new crimp on terminals.
Turn off power first.

Thanks Washman for clearing things up.
Yes, there is a brown continuous wire which is clamped to a metal plate. I’ll get some crimp on terminals and give it a go.

K/Washman, thanks for all the help. Just replaced the cut out and all working fine. I’m sure we could have got there quicker, but all sorted now.
Shame that I tried the clock first as suggested as what was actually a £4 job has cost £60. Still I do have a spare clock now and there is always ebay, unless anyone else needs one.
Thanks again.

HELP PLEASE. On a similar theme, well cooker actually, my main oven on the Leisure Cookmaster 100 has stopped working. It happened following a recent power cut, whilst the oven was in use. When power was restored and the oven turned on again, both the light and fan come on but no heat is observed. Has a fuse or element (guessing here) blown? Is there a way to check and resolve? Thanks, Daniel

Hi Daniel,
That sounds like an element failure but, you’d have to check it.
Also if you can give me the full model number I’ll be able to tell you what element is in the cooker and whether there are any cheap alternatives available.

Thanks K.
Its the Leisure Cookmaster 100, model number is either CM10FRC-CM10FRK, CM10FRCP-CM10FRKP or CM10BRC-CM10BRK. I can’t see in the manual the differentiations. It’s a dual fuel cooker with eletric ovens. Does this help?
How can I check if it is the element? Any tips would be appreciated thanks.

Hi Daniel,
The original fan element is this one:
There is a cheap compatible alternative available as well though, this one:
It is most probable from what you’ve described that that’s what’s gone wrong as if it was the safety stat then you wouldn’t get the fan or oven lamp on if I recall correctly.

Thanks K.
Is this a relatively easy thing to replace. I’m hoping from some pictures I’ve seen that I can access this from the inside of the oven (without pulling it out), and simply replace, or am I being a bit simplistic with this hope.
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
No from memory you should be able to do that without moving the cooker.
You need to get the back panel off the back of the back wall of the oven, there will be a couple of screws or nuts and the panel will just lift out. Behind that sits the element and it’s normally just held there with two screws and a clip.
There’s more help on this sort of stuff in this article:

Many thanks K. I’ll take a look tonight and then get some parts ordered to fix it, hopefully!

I’ve received the part now, but when looking to remove the element it looks like the screws come through the back?! Is this correct or should that always be attached from the front? I took some pictures if it is possible to upload for confirmation.
Does it look like I need to pull the oven out to release screws?
Thanks,
Daniel

If the element is screwed from the back it’d be very odd.
If you mail me the pictures I can have a look or upload them.
