They seem to be selling a lot on eBay, if they are in trouble then it is self inflicted by letting a crap website go live that is much worse than the one it replaced.
Bad practice and a lack of customer care. When I called them asking why half the stuff was not sent out, “sorry out of stock, I don’t know when we will have them in” Was the reply.
Then I was asked if I wanted the items put on backorder! No I need them here, appointments have been booked for tomorrow I have customers taking time off to wait in for our engineer, now I have to cancel calls and order from somewhere else.
I may as well been talking to a brick wall.January 10, 2014 at 3:58 pm #318627Andy jones

Have only ever ordered from them once. That was enough for me

In my estimation Masterpart’s customer service has improved significantly over the last 5 years. Yes, things occasionally go wrong, but not much more than with other suppliers. They are not alone in failing to ring when in stock parts turn out to be out of stock.
Being probably by some margin the smallest of the “Big three” suppliers, their stock holding is not as good as the others, but it is still head and shoulders above anyone else. Their postage rate (£4.95) and minimum order threshold for free delivery (£60) are good, and their pricing usually better than Connect and Qualtex.
In recent years, Parts Center, SEME Nedis, and probably others, have fallen by the wayside as white goods parts suppliers. The last thing we want is for Masterpart to pull out of the market. Without them, Connect and Qualtex’s effective monopoly could become entrenched, with prices spiralling upwards and service downwards, to our loss.

Still miss there old website, had loads of model number searches and a lot of it serial number specific, also they started putting exploded diagrams up there, very useful for trade customers.
New website is just loads of nice photos of common parts, more a nice looking general public website than a trade one.January 11, 2014 at 12:32 am #318631A1TEC

They are offering free 48 hours delivery service. Would that tempt you to return? I don’t have large stock turnover as I tend to order the parts as when as required which meant the free delivery would not make a difference.

New website is just loads of nice photos of common parts, more a nice looking general public website than a trade one.I think a lot of us agrees with you there. Their current website is too data heavy if this makes sense, pictures too big on one page (I think 10 items per page) then you have several pages to scroll through. Time consuming.
Qualtex uses thumb sized pictures and can get through 20 or 50 items on one page thus speeded up the scrolling.
I was asked for my comments on their website and it seems that my constructive comments fell onto deaf ears.
I’m frustrated as I get their monthly catalogue knowing that their prices are good but the experience on-line puts me off.

Sent from my iPad using TapatalkHaving looked at their ebay site, it seems that there is little benefit in having a trade account as the are giving free delivery on the ebay spares.
Priced a fan oven element as an example and found it was cheaper to buy it off their ebay site as the standard p&p would make it more expensive in the trade account. :rolls:January 14, 2014 at 3:46 pm #318636twicknix

hi,
its :

There ebay shop does free delivery, as others have said I have often found it cheaper than Masterpart or Qualtex etc if just ordering single items. The strange thing is they seem to have parts in stock on this site and on ebay which are out of stock on Masterparts website.

Ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Spares4Appliances?_rdc=1
They’ve also got an Amazon account as well.
You’ve got move with the times but you’re correct, sometimes it’s cheaper to buy individual items from ebay. Occasionally Ebay items are much cheaper but not everything is on the Ebay shop. It doesn’t explain why stock levels vary from Ebay to trade site. I regularly check the price on Ebay shop before purchasing from Trade site.January 14, 2014 at 6:21 pm #318639Martin

eBay is by far their biggest outlet. Again stock levels are not guaranteed but at least they have got your money but with no guaranteed delivery date.
It seems they have realised a far wider sales opportunity by capturing the DIY market. But, their share is tiny in comparison to others on eBay and Amazon.
It’s a jungle out there !

Here is an offer I might just be able to refuse from Masterpart’s web site.
Buy one set at £13.38 each, buy two at £16.40 each. ❓
