Power Off Plug out………
From the back, right hand lower corner, a small panel will remove from across the appliance, it partially holds the water valve in place..It is from side to side but only remove the screws from the right hand side(5 screws) all at the lower corner. Gently ease upwards and outwards a few inches…The stat is located centrally in the back, directly under the heater position,,2 wires and a small reset button should identify it to you. Screw it off, replace the stat and reverse fit the panel….Should take 10 mins to do.
If the water hose is tight and in your way…turn off the hose tap and remove…..be sure to tighten well and leak check carefully when refitting.Turn on tap.

We have a Necht Dishwasher (model WQP12-6015) and is 14months old, which has two problems:
i) the switch mechanism that connects when the door is closed moves and cannot switch the program on. This has been attended to by a Necht technician but has been a constant problem.
ii) the program now only works half way through the wash, the water does not heat, it does not drain at the end of the cycle and then two lights flash on the display. We have been unable to contact the company by telephone with the number we used previously and would be grateful for any advice about how to gain assistance with these matters.

hi,
I’ll try to get an email address for you……several of their customers report unable to get through on the phone. Will pm the email to you as don’t want to make it public.
Stopping mid way could be a combination of causes….bale out the water and check the sump for any foreign objects….at 14 months old Necht have no obligation to repair foc so consider having this looked at by a repairer from this site. Go to directories and see if theres a listing to match your postcode.
The door switch has not been a problem on these so I can not advise much…..however if a technician has looked and not solved what is a simple repair, it makes me think that perhaps theres a fascia problem here.

hi paul,
will the water drain if you reselct the start of a programme? If so the appliance has stopped mid cycle.
If this is the case then good chance of cut out needs resetting on the heater, not easily accessable if you don’t know what your doing.
But at 3 months old you should be contacting Necht on, tel 0161 622 3259 or fax 0161 628 9628 to obtain under warrenty service.Kevin

This is a current problem with these dishwashers and a new stat is available which is self reseting. The TOC is only rated at 78 degrees 10amp at 250volts….and trips out regulary. Try to speak to your supplier about the new stats and get one fitted.
The carlton slimline is the same appliance and also suffers the same problem, don’t change the bank of 3 stats(its a pain) as this won’t cure the problem. Unfortunately Carlton don’t seem to be able to supply a modified stat.
There is no part number for the modified stat but are sent foc to agents for use on Necht appliances. We replace this stat whenever we attend a Necht regardless of fault.

ps…please don’t swamp me with request for the stats i don’t have have the stock holding.AM I GLAD I FOUND THIS MESSAGE!!!!
I bought a Carlton dishwasher in the sales December 2003 for use in our new extension. I only got around to fitting it a few weeks ago, and after a few uses it stopped advancing the timer. Curry’s didn’t want to know, nor did covermaster, 12 months is 12 months!I took it to bits, and eventually traced the fault to a tripped stat. It’s a KSD31 78deg as you probably know. I’ve spent days trying to find one, the local parts suppliers have never seen one like it. The ones on the internet are the button types and do not screw through.
So, you have confirmed my diagnosis, that the water temp is getting to high since after it is reset, it is ok for a few days. It is such a pain to pull out the dishwasher to reset it that I have bypassed it (naughty I know) until I can get hold of one.

Carlton slimline dishwasher
I’d Just like to say thanks for the self resetting stat. 😀
I would not recommend bypassing it as I did, since when using tablets there is so much foam it just gets hotter and hotter. There is hardly any water to conduct the heat to the other stats. We will be switching to powder so the new stat isn’t tripping all the time, only two tabs left now 😉 .

Switched to powder – no foaming and it cleans better!March 14, 2005 at 7:02 pm #118824Ranking

We recently bought a Necht Dishwasher Model WQP13-6015. We have only been able to use it once. As everytime we used it since then it stops halfway through the cycle and does not empty. We tried to contact Nechet by phone, but we have not been able to get through on that number. We have noticed that the water is not heating up either.
We reset the thermostat, it work for one wash but it then tripped again.
How can we get one of the self resetting thermostats?

The foaming up causes the stat to trip because there isn’t enough water around it to conduct the heat around.
If you can’t get a stat, switch to powder as it doesn’t foam up. You shouldn’t have to reset it again.
This is definately the case, I’ve opened the door halfway through the cycle to check the water /foam with both tablet and powder.

I think that you will find the auto reset was a limited free issue last year, so it will be a chargeable part now. If you contact spares@ukwhitegoods.com with the model number, one can be ordered at quite reasonable cost.
And yes, stick with powders and separates.

Hi
We changed the stat but, it is still stopping half way through the cycle.
We have also tried to run it without soap but it stills stops half way.I cannot find powder in the shops to buy, they only sell tablets or liquid.
Any ideas?[/list] 😥

It sounds like the new stat fitted has tripped as well which would indicate there is a problem with the temperature control or there’s a blockage somewhere.
When it sticks, open the door and see if the water is warm..
Let us know 😀
Dave.
