ParticipantHi all,
I have a Necht dishwasher that keeps tripping halfway through a cycle.
I have been shown how to reset the DW by pressing the button at the back of the appliance but how can I stop it happening all the time.
Is it a faulty thermostat or is the water temp too high ??
Please help
Cheers

Shanz, can you post the model and serial numbers please.
Necht don’t actually manufacture these appliances, they are rebadged.
Regards.
Dave.

Shanz, are you sure that’s the model (I’m not doubting you) but there may be another number begining with WQP or similar.
I have no reference for 11714
Dave.

You’re not using 3 in 1 tablets by any chance are you Shanz ?

ParticipantRe: Necht Dishwasher
They tend to cause excessive foaming which makes the heating element get too hot causing nuisance tripping of the safety thermostat.
If they are tablets it will almost certainly be the 3 in 1 type.
Try using powder and a seperate rinse aid and see what happens.

ParticipantLOL,
That’s cool.
I’ll give it a go, but you’d expect the dishwasher manufacturers to have tested the machine with these tablets in the first place.
Is there another tablet type that I can use or am I stuck with using powder???
Thanks Dave

Hi,
This is a current problem with these dishwashers and a new stat is available which is self reseting. The TOC is only rated at 78 degrees 10amp at 250volts….and trips out regulary. Try to speak to your supplier about the new stats and get one fitted.
The carlton slimline is the same appliance and also suffers the same problem, don’t change the bank of 3 stats(its a pain) as this won’t cure the problem. Unfortunately Carlton don’t seem to be able to supply a modified stat.
There is no part number for the modified stat but are sent foc to agents for use on Necht appliances. We replace this stat whenever we attend a Necht regardless of fault.

ParticipantKevin,
Thanks for your help.
If I could get hold of one of the modified stats, would I be able to replace it myself?
i.e. is it easy enough to change, do I need any special tools etc?
Cheers

ParticipantKevin,
Been away for a few days and just wanted to say thanks you for the stat that you sent me for the Necht dishwasher.
Is it easy to replace?
i.e. Where is the stat actually located in the dishwasher?
Just want to get an idea before I start opening it up.Cheers again
