I specifically asked that ours had that. 😉
I love them too Mark, best machine I’ve ever come across by a country mile, bar none, including Miele.

ParticipantHi all
Thanks for your feedback and enthusiam for the washing machine we unveiled on Friday.
I can confirm they are made by Asko and they will have 10 years parts and labour cover (in a domestic kitchens and three years in semi commercial premisses (hairdressers, guest houses etc) and will be underwritten by an FSA insurrer (though extact details are being still being negociated as is the price).
This is an additional product to the existing machine which has performed well in terms of sales and reliability and will remain as our 5 year guaranteed offering.
Also following feedback on Fridays meeting we have plumped to supplement the Asko made washer with an Asko made dryer rather than dishwasher under the same insurrance package.
We hope to bring the first machines in to the country in July.
More details are available on request.
If you are an existing ISE stockist we’ll visit you with the new machine over the coming weeks if you are not an ISE stockist but are interested in becoming one let us know and we will contact you.

Way to go, spoke to Evelyn earlier before I saw this and she like me was of the opinion that a T/Dryer should take precedence over a dishwasher.

Will it be a vented or condenser dryer?

KeymasterCondenser.
Vented is too hard to convince people that it’s better. 😉

Stylistically matched pair and we can go hunting – got a price point on the dryer yet?

ParticipantHi All,
Bear with me for a couple of weeks,
We have looked at the market prices for the equivalent Mieles and are confident that we can bring the ISE tens to market competitively. At the moment our broker is trying to get us the best possible deal for the cover from an FSA registered source and I am trying to get us the best deal on logistics.
Until I have firm prices it would be inappropriate to publish.
We will have a critical path to launch and retail / wholesale prices by easter.

Just been on an Asko service call (5p in pump, as usual!) but noticed lots of sound deadening felt that was missing from the one at Sibson. Might be worth thinking about that if we have any say on the spec.

If we have any say on specs, then it would be nice to have our machine with the nice quiet 3 phase motor instead of the carbon brush motor.

KeymasterWe have some sway, but not carte blanche. Yet. 😉
Same deal as them all, once you prove volume then you can have pretty much all you want, so long as you pay for it mind.
When the project first came to the point where spec was being discussed I basically made up a wish list of features trying to balance sell ability, reliability and cost, it’s honestly not an easy chore. Always in that equation there’s a compromise, it just depends on to what degree you will compromise on any one.
For example, we could go £50 cheaper a box, but you’d drop AAA and get AAB and lose a couple of thousand RPM on spin. You may also lose the front drop down door, or something else to achieve the price point. In the end it comes down to what will satisfy most people, most of the time as you’ll never, as we all know well enough from service experience, please all the people all the time.
But we try.
K.
