It’s offline Jazz as the server got spanked and we’ve had issues with file size limitations as well just for fun. :rolls:
Plus we’re doing an update for the weekend on it as well so hold off until the update is there as it’ll save you hassle later.
I’ll post up when it’s cooked.

Ja, worth it as we’ll have the postcode stuff live then and, if I whip Sudeep severely, perhaps a few other bits and bobs. 😉

Sorry, getting the dies where they’re supposed to be is proving to be a pain.
Largely my fault. 🙁
Not a happy bunny about it.

Point your browser to localhost/stock_system/ims/install or localhost/call_handling/chs/install
Tried that… no luck 🙁
I noticed the fact that your directory was called “call_handling” and not “call_handling_windows” as came out of the zip folder.. so I deleted xampp folder in C: and re-unziped the zip file, renamed the directory on the desktop to “call_handling” copied the xampp directory from it to C: and re-installed… It is now working… I don’t know why, but it is. 🙂
I am getting a message saying “Your current version is 0.5.1beta There is a new updated version 0.5beta available for this software. Please go to rapportsoftware.co.uk to download and update the package” but that is no matter for concern I think.
Question: Do we need to start the SQL server for anything?
sudeep wrote:Also please do do not keep any special characters like ‘ or ” in company name or anything else while setup
Question: Are there any idiot guides now?… I am a complete novice with CHS .. ie. seting-up without buggering-up .. initial add engineer, do we just change Kens details in the admin? 😀

Ignore the warning George, I’ve got that on a fresh install here this afternoon as well, dunno what that’s about.
No, you don’t need to start the SQL server or service, only Apache.
I’ve not gotten to the idiot’s guide yet but it’s fairly straightforward to use. You can delete and alter the demo data there as you like, that’s just stuff I’d battered in as stuff to show what goes where.
One point is that you need the email address for customers as a mandatory field, if they don’t’ have one just put anything in the field so long as it has a “@” in it.

Thanks for that Ken..
With this type of software I don’t need an idiot guide I need a stupidity guide 😳

KeymasterRe: rapport
Just remember George, it’s an early Beta which means still a ways off a final release so there’s loads of things to get sorted, features to be added and most likely bugs to get fixed.
I’ve been messing about with rapport this afternoon and have a not unsubstantial list of changes to be made. Sudeep will hate me but heh, that’s the way it goes. 🙂
My plan is to get this part of the mix finished by the end of the summer but that of course depends on time and what we run up against doing it.
The next couple of weeks the focus shifts from there to the FCG as I need to get more info on that as well and sort some that’s there.
Trouble is that, with the changes being made and the number being made, it makes doing a complete idiot’s guide really, really hard and I’d just have to do it over again once things are changed. I’d much rather get to a more stable version then write it up.
That said, it is reasonably intuitive to use, you can’t really go that far wrong. But, I’ll see what I can muster up.

KeymasterRe: rapport
Found a couple of bugs, now zapped with 0.5.2. 🙂
Details of the changes are here:
http://www.rapportsoftware.co.uk/index. … h-versions
Uploading to the server now, when the versions change the downloads will also change and I’ll let you all know when the upload is completed. At the current rate, it’ll be an hour or so before it’s all uploaded.
However, please follow the instructions here when you upgrade….
http://www.rapportsoftware.co.uk/index. … st-version
It’s pretty straightforward but if you do it wrongly you might break stuff, which wouldn’t be good.
