Do have a good meeting you lot.
I’m sorry I’m not able to make it, but will be away. The plans were put in place last January.
I suspect I will have a lot of reading to do when I get back.
Regards and good wishes to all.

I’m sure it will be good Alex and hopefully very productive as well.
There is now an updated agenda for day one, the Friday, available in the downloads section. There are now 33 people attending the meeting over the two days.
Can anyone wishing to attend that has not made it clear to us please let us know as soon as possible of the intention to attend.
Thanks
K.

Are we to assume that the Saturday agenda remains unchanged and is the final version ?

Yes, unless anyone wants a change as no-one’s come up with anything.

KeymasterOh okay, you did but it’s more or less there anyways and there’s not a lot of time on the Saturday. 🙁

KeymasterOkay, Martin suggested the following, just so it’s not forgotten…
Martin wrote:1) . ‘www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk’…The Future? (i.e. Overall aims and ambitions, what is its purpose? how can it be improved? etc)
2). To report on and discuss progress on the ‘UKW Subscriber’ Membership.
3). ‘Retailing’ Spares and possibly new goods direct from the site (i.e. Shop@) or through UKW members?
Comment?

KeymasterCould anyone that is attending the Secret Squirrel Club annual meal tomorrow evening please PM myself or Del ASAP so we can book a nice quiet table away from anyone.
Oh that’s right, we’re loudmouth louts who like to hide wrapped in the secrecy of an online alias, but it’s so secret that if you want to join us just drop a line.

ParticipantHi Gang,
Just a note to say thanks for the warm welcome Julia and I received at the meeting this weekend. Nice to put some faces to names! And, for a most “relaxing” Friday evening…. Relaxed as a newt actually.
Regards to all,

Add my thanks too. Thought it was a good venue, easy to find, plenty of parking and room to move in the hall and the food and drink was the best yet and on time (thanks Del). Also I saw both Ken and Del wearing ties!! Looking forward to the next one – Regards – Ian & Alma

Yes, a good two meetings indeed ! 😀
The minutes will be in the downloads section as soon as I have collated all the info, hopefully tommorow.
Thankyou to all those who took the time to attend, and thanks to the guys who continued to help out on the site in our absense, it’s much appreciated.

Well what can I say?
This was our first meeting with UKWhitegoods.
The hospitality, discussions, the jokes and you people in general who make this site possible were great. Meetings I have been to before have not been quite like this one. Congrats to you all 😉
Also it was nice to talk to and see faces of Ukwhitegood members.
I will be subscribing Ken, the cheque is in the post along with all of our details and areas covered. I posted it this morning.
Just one thing though, could we stay at a hotel were the bar is open for longer than 23:00 😆 💡
See you all at the next meeting

Glad you enjoyed the meeting Andy, as you probably gathered UKW is developing all the while in an ‘onwards & upwards’ direction. 😉 Your contribution is very much appreciated and thanks for the comments 🙂
The hotel at Sibson will be the likely venue for our next meeting (I expect) where the bar will stay open as long as you can keep buying the drinks!!! 😆
😆 My thanks go to the ‘Directors’ for putting up with my company at the meeting and to ‘Directors Bitter’ for my hangover 😆

Thanks Andy, we try to break from the norm a little in a few ways. 😉
We put a strong emphasis on the social side of things as well as the business as I and my cohorts think it is very important, as is having a good laugh and enjoying the event.
As Martin says it’s most likely back to Sibson the next time around so that’s not a problem, but point taken although it did lead to a rather interesting retreat to a hotel room. :rotfl:
I’m really glad you and others see the value in what we’re doing and why we’re doing the things we are, hopefully meetings like this put a better perspective on it when you hear it all from the horses mouth as it were.
Martin, you are more than welcome and remember, you had to put up with a drunken rabble as well! 😆
My thanks goes to the people that took time out to attend the meeting/s and especially to our guests who I hope found the event useful and informative, as well as probably not what they expected as they were all welcomed and not a cross word was spoken. It was fantastic to see, even competitors, all in one room able to have a chat over a cuppa or a beer.
