I did find an ISE link, way down the list at #14 on the Washing Machine buying guide.
I did also get the drop down menus mingled up with new posts list at the top of the page, it should have covered the new posts list.

There’s no provision to include your email address in EDIT PROFILE. 😕

You should be able to do it now Martin, the global default was on safety. 😉

In fact, I think you may be able to do a few more things now that I’ve altered the group permissions just a tad. 😉

There’s loads more to come but we have to wait on this indexing thing finishing before I can start work on tidying up the forums, a lot. Stuff I’ve wanted to do for years but not been able to do due to limitations on the old platform.
Plus the going slower than a slow thing from slow town is really starting to grate as I’m trying to work on the site.

Something strange in the Trade Tech forum, two posts that seem to have been made in 2006 appear to have been answered today and both of them appear to be stickies as well, no reason for them to be stuck that I can see.
One at the top of the list about a Bosch and one lower down on a Fisher & Paykel. 😕

Yeah, that’s the “not where you expect them to be” bit as some of the dates seem a little borked. All we can do is un-sticky them and save. I had to do a couple this morning as well.
However, until the indexing is completed we won’t have a full and true picture of where we are.

Fixed em both. There doesn’t seem to be an unstick option but in the edit page you can select Normal, Announce or Global at the bottom.
I selected Normal and it seems to have cleared them from the stickies. 😀

I noticed that both of those posts and a couple of the legit Stickies I checked don’t have any of the three options selected.
Checking the ‘new topic’ options, Normal is selected by default.
Now I get Normal and Announcement posts but what is a Global one, is it a standard sticky?

Anyone else not like the orange on white it or is it just me?I’m with Gaz the orange font on blue background doesn’t work for me.
Is there a customise feature.

Edit
And why am I posting an hour late?

Guess it’s a taste thing, I’m okay with it.
TBH it’s a bit of work to change it like, a lot. Like I then have to change a heap of images as well that also form links, change the stylesheet on the main site to match and so on.
Which means that it won’t be on the radar until all the other stuff I have to do is done and so far there’s an A4 foolscap or two with “to do” at the top of it.
Hour late thing is easy, check your profile for the timezone setting, now made a lot, lot easier to suss and sort. 😉

Hi Ken,
Well done on the upgrade, I appreciate the amount of work that goes into crossing a CMS to a different platform, particularly on a site of this size with so many different features.
I think the Joomla! platform is a good choice.I can see you’re going to be busy for some time ironing out all the small problems that are only to be expected when taking on such a task.
The chances are you will already be aware, but there is one problem that I think needs to be addressed fairly soon, the member login and logout in the head of the site doesn’t work. I can still login with the module that appears in the right column.
Another problem is in some of the articles the characters are not displaying properly.
The only other issues are very minor to do with templating and really a matter of personal preference.
Well done on a brilliant job,
Keith.
