The next meeting of the above will be on 20th Feb 2009 likely at the Hilton Hotel in Coventry. Please put this date aside and attend if you can. The idea is to have a mini trade fair and all manufacturers that have a connection to the independent engineers will be invited, as will all work providers and spare parts companies. This is an ideal opportunity for you to introduce yourselves and network with those that can offer you work. Presentations will be made by organisations that have a direct influence on the way we operate. By personal request (Wash-Doctor) a buffet lunch will be provided and if you want accomodation please contact Bryan Williams who has negotiated a discounted rate. If there are any topics you would like on the agenda, please post them up for consideration. In my view this is a ‘must be at’ event :tup:

You have my personal invitation to come (as I owe you a drink) and the fact that you are a company engineer does not mean you will not get a warm welcome – the meeting is open to all UKW/WTA members and their guests :wave:

I agree with Ian if you can get the time of to come that would be great,although there is the obvious distinction between employed and self employed we are all engineers at the end of the day .

It’d be nice to see you there, Steve. The meetings are usually very interesting and thought provoking and, it’s good fun to put faces to names and share some chat, food and beer.

I have got confirmation of the room costs :
the rate I have been able to secure is £65 per night bed & breakfast for both thursday and friday nights.

I will confirm shortly,just waiting for the confirmations to come through.
meeting will be the friday.
Normal p up thursday evenin for the hard noses to settle down and informat chat / moan and social.
Friday eve is social,Saturday is to settle down or recover.. 😉
