Replacement NTC supplied by UKW under warranty, fitted & now all working ok. Fickle sort of beast indeed! Many thanks to Penguin45 & Dave at UKW.

Hi,
Got an integrated AGD7450.
I think my fault might be related.
It starts and seems tp pump water in.
Shortly afterwards it pumps it out and gives four beeps (dot dot dot dash in morse!)Any idea where I should start?
Thanks

Opened the door during run.
Light for the program selected is on during ‘cycle’.Opened the door as soon as the beeps start and all lights are off.
Its an integrated under unit system, so no other lights.
Cheers

ADG7450……..
The beeps you describe mean that the programme is finished. We both know that it isn’t, but that’s what the computer thinks. I suspect that you have a corruption issue with the pcb.
Now might be a good time to consider professional help, as I doubt that there’s a simple (or cheap!) fix for this one.

Thanks Penguin45,
Obviously not what I wanted to hear, but saves me the time buying & fitting parts (NTC, motor etc) that probably won’t make a difference.
Bah! 🙁

P have been to this. It is the circulation pump (seized)that has the heater assy in the impellor. Has it to be modified with new heater fitted in place of the plastic tube and the usual askoll replacement circ pump?

Hi
We’ve got a Whirlpool ADP731 which we inherited with our house. It’s been great for the past year until a couple of days ago when it stopped heating the water. It’s also got noisier, making a thumping sound and stops on the heat part of the cycle.
Any ideas please?
Thanks
Jill

This machine and it’s fault bear no relation to the ones in this thread. New thread started for you HERE.

Correction, pump available from whirlpool. a couple of hundred quid 8O.
Decided not to go ahead with repair. I dont blame him. Many thanks Mr Finn for letting me have a look. I had fun getting the dishwasher out that had been screwed to the cupboard sides then siliconed in then a granite worktop put over the top of it all 😆S.

Ha ha.
Thanks again Simon.
It was ‘interesting’ watching you try to remove the levitating dishwasher. Still can’t believe they installed it like that.
New NEFF arrived this morning, will install tonight.
Don’t know how I’m going to screw it in properly though – suppose I’ll have to take the granite off 😉July 15, 2009 at 3:48 pm #185281mar

Just a suggestion which may save some of you a lot of trouble!
My integrated machine, ADG7340, had the continuous bleeping & flashing fault suggesting NTC needed replacing.
Ordered new part & received next day (excellent service!) but made no difference.
Eventually tested wire from control pcb to NTC & found break in wire where the wiring loom enters the bottom of the door! (you need to take off cabinet door to see it.) The plastic protective cover had split & because the wires are so thin one of them had broken with the movement!
Pulled a new length of twin twin through with the old one & patched in the plugs on the ends – good as new!
Now have a brand new NTC spare! – don’t know if I’ll be able to return it OR IF ANYONE OUT THERE WANTS TO MAKE ME AN OFFER!
Hope this helps.September 20, 2011 at 7:34 am #185282pinchy100

Looks like Johnny NTC gone again, slightly different this time, the cycle gets about 35 minutes in, seems to constantly pump/circulate for a while with water VERY hot then starts constant beeping/flashing, “rinse” led lit.
NTC measures 63k at room temp, 6.3k boiling. Before I order a new NTC can you please confirm it’s likely to be this at fault again?
Many thanksSeptember 22, 2011 at 1:40 pm #185283pinchy100

Took a chance, ordered & fitted an new NTC – no difference.
Seems to be constantly pumping out(?) for quite some time then starts to beep with rinse led lit. Any ideas? Would a full reset cure it? How do you do a rest on these machines?September 23, 2011 at 1:17 pm #185284pinchy100

:boops:
When I looked closer I realised that the led was flashing 4 times, not continuous. This indicates error code 4 (F4)
as described here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=57057&p=283916&hilit=diaphragm+switch#p283916
Cleaned the black grid (in the sump next to the NTC) with a toothbrush – sorted! 😀 -
