Moderatorcheck filter first
then check outlet hose, not sure how you connect to the drain, if its connected to the “u” bend check where it joins. If hose has an extension check the joint had buttons stuck there plenty of times
after that remove the hose as it comes out of the tub and check there

ParticipantHi , hi I removed both pressure switches and blew down them sorry not them the tubes and all seemed clear but when I remove the covering the sleeve one of the tubes is quite badly gouged, could I possibly cover the damaged one with lots of electrical tape just to test if that is the problem as both seem to have the same amount of air coming out when I blew down them ??

Participantso you must mean the one connected to the pressure chamber ?
December 9, 2019 at 5:12 pm #449539electrofix
Moderatorwell its the pump / filter unit but yes I think the pressure chamber is part of the assembly
as the hose leaves the tub there is a large plastic ball that can stop stuff and block

ParticipantHello again Dave still no luck with my washer dryer everywhere seems clear no blockages, the problem seems to be when there is a large amount of water in machine . When the water level is lower or I put in some wet clothing on a spin cycle that works fine. I have been attempting the diagnostic codes not really sure how it works but there is an E 34 error coming up , any ideas what this means or where it might lead. Thanks for all your help

Moderatore34 is a pressure switch problem
there are 2 pressure switches in the machine and e34 means they don’t agree with each other

ParticipantI thought as much ,is there any other way to test to rule out anything else. In the previous post above regarding pressure switches and the damage I found on one of them ,the tubing I’m talking about ,One of the tubes was gouged quite badly would this be the problem or the actual pressure switches themselves ,I do have a small multimeter . Any advice at all before I buy to pressure switches would be very helpful thank you in advance

Moderatorthere are 2 types of pressure switches. the older type uses a rubber diaphragm to operate micro switches the later one is a digital one that detect the pressure constantly using a variable coil. the earlier one has large spade connection can be tested with a multi meter and you can blow in it to operate the switches which click as they open and close. The later type get destroyed if you blow into it and need a circuit board to operate. these normally have small multi-wire plugs
you problem is
1 hole or blockage in pressure tube
2 one or other of the switches faulty
3 the board faulty that controls the digital switchDave

ParticipantOk, sorry this is going to be a bit long in the tooth, I’m going to bore you regarding the background of this machine which may be helpful or not. About four years ago I was doing a normal 50° wash seem to take forever I went into the kitchen and the glass was boiling I opened the door and boiling water Or extremely hot water rushed out ,at the time didn’t take much notice but thought the wash was extra long and way too hot , and the washes on the previous days weeks and months seem’d fine. Looking back now in retrospect I think all of the washing after that episode was done on Coldwater can’t be exactly sure of this because everything seemed okay even the washing was clean enough . Then my landlord fitted a new fuse box I know they’re called something different now, The next day after it was fitted I put my machine on as normal and it blew the fuse box tried lots of things unplugging , not using for 24 hours nothing worked . Then I did what everyone does Google not much information and I was a bit worried, I found an appliance engineer and he told me how to bypass the heater on the washer part which I did . This enabled me to continue using it as a washer and a dryer the dryer works perfectly but was very little used mostly just washing . The machine was moved in and out a lot and I think at this time not exactly sure the damage that I see on one of the two tubing to the pressure switch happened because it then began to overfill all the time
