Re: Opinions please on new fridge, cooker AND washer!

For years we were exclusively Bosch. Our main Bosch freezer and (now drinks) fridge are 20 years and fine. We went upmarket to Lebherr for new kitchen and impressed, BUT the point of this is that we wanted a cheaper freezer for the garage and got a Beko 7 years ago. It was a fraction of the cost of the other stuff and has been fantastic. Well made, performs really well and I would buy their stuff again.

Re: Miele WT270 Washer Dryer Stopped Drying – Thermostat Res

Miele callouts- as well as being expensive, are taking several weeks right now. You wait for hours to get a response on the phone (to the point that they now suggest you put the phone on speaker and grab a coffee!). I start to wonder if their new stuff is all failing (ours has been far from reliable), and they just cannot keep up with the repair workload. Good luck getting yours fixed – for others considering paying extra for Miele quality – I would think again. It ain’t what it used to be, you are better buying a Bosch and replacing it every 4-5 years.

Re: Bosch 1-Minute but not on 70c wash

Thanks, but I took a look at that prior to the original post, and checked most of the ideas out – so Turbidity looks a suspect, but less than a year old (fitted with the heater housing), so was wondering if the information that it’s fine on the 70c wash might narrow it down even more. I’ll go clean it manually tomorrow and if no sign of excessive gunge, will replace Turbidity.

What he means is the plastic sump. There is a float switch that detects if there is any water in the sump (the big plastic base that everything sits in). Just a little will cause the switch to connect and it turns the pump on to try to protect from further leaks. if you remove either side panel of the dishwasher you will be able to see if there is water in the base. if there is, I generally use a Vax or similar water vac to suck it out – then go find the leak.
