KeymasterScogings the ringleader
Even up here in the north they know Scogs is the main man and anyone who doesn’t certainly will do before I’m done on Sunday.
I don’t see why he should work for NESN when the rest of us have been sacked or given in our notice. Shame JT’s on holiday otherwise I could email him.
Bridie and I are enjoying the rain.
P*** off to you all!

KeymasterSales and Service.
Part of the answer is that within these manufacturers companies each Department are seperate trading budgets.Sales generates the largest revenue and has always called the shots.
Service has been funded from a budget that is generated from sales. As low as it sounds this could be based on a 4{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} failure rate (in guarantee) so Service never seems to have enough cash to cope when things go wrong.Spare parts sales are the icing on the cake for the manufacturer and the potential being lost on the sale of the appliance can be clawed back by direct selling of spare to trade and public.
The only way forward is for sales to take an active part in the rest of the business and to support service.
You have to realize that revenue generated from spare part sales will not get into the service budget, its a part of the sales budget.
I do not think it is “we ” that is being ripped off but the public. They choose to pay for the spare or replace the appliance and from the manufacturers point of view there are 1.8 million washer sales per year in the uk and they invest in capturing market share.Which ever way they go the manufacturer has an angle on the cash.regards kevin

KeymasterDasa number or otherwise.
It is not my intention to be another Nesn .I would prefer to run this under the Dasa banner as a ready made service network of agents for the use of a manufacturer as they wish to use it.We(dasa) would not need to police the network as in the role of contract manager/accounts manager etc.We (dasa) would need to appoint a panel/team to oversee the particular agents only in the situation where the client is not getting a satisfactory outcome from the Dasa agent in any area. The same team would be responsible for the initial enquiry from a client and for any subsequent negotiation required.
The team would incur costs to do this and it should be rewarded with expenses, claimed from Dasa.We have to ensure that Dasa gets a commision from each and every job(lets say £1.00).This will generate the revenue to pay for the teams efforts and hopefully some left over for Dasa use.
We therefore need to throw into the pot as many suggestions as possible on what is put to Dasa council and then Dasa AGM as a constructive way forward. It is incumbant on the members of this forum to contribute and to do so with a nationwide view on how to proceed. Please lose the notion of what we may gain as individuals and do so with everyones best interests at heart.
Whoever the client is someone will be our first. But before we can have a client we have to have a signed up network all willing to participate to the rules. We need to formulate those rules and to ensure we generate work to as many agents as possible.we need to perhaps have three different networks gas ,refrigeration and laundry etc.And to add to the problem more than one agent in each area. Its more than possible that we could get too much work in some areas and we fail to live up to our own expectations. All must be able and willing to share…………
I look forward to your replies…….

KeymasterPayment
We all work and run business’s for profit.A dirty word…………but is it?
We all need to to take a step back and self analize our own setups to see if we all are doing it right. If you do this correctly you will come to the same conclusions as myself (and a few others) and that is :
I run my business…….its my cash in the bank……….its my cash flow………..I am in control of what my business does.
If I allow a third party to dictate to me what and when they pay me I am conceeding a percentage of control to the third party. The third party needs to increase their control of the business in question and this is the only way they can do it.The only answer is you have to be in the driving seat and with that statement comes the responsibility of running your business(including down sizing to extract yourself from the mess your in) and ensuring you can honestly claim to be in control.
Its a terrible situation to be in and a lot of planning needs to be done to get out of tight situations, but you are not alone. Here in this forum are people who have done what you might like to do,I have been kicked out of Nesn for having a point of view,I been allowed back in because they needed coverage ,I’ve now resigned because they are trying to threaten me with legal action and inpose on me restrictive practice that is illegal under European law.Don’t be fooled………..there is good work out there and many good firms chasing it……..Make yourself available

KeymasterLate payment
The real answer is to withdraw your services and find some who will work with your business and not against.
It won’t be an easy task…but if one company can put the squeeze on because of late payment think what will happen when they cant pay at all.
Be wise …….leave the sinking ship whilst you can….

Keymaster😛 ❓ I have to say that we are doing compressor changes at £175 for an intergrated cabinet and £125 for free standing. An american is usually at the £450.00 level.Customers are prepared to pay for repairs if you can do them on the spot(we can) and your salesman(engineer ) knows his subject. You have to invest in 1st time completion to make a profit and to do this you have to learn your market .We also can supply fit and remove any appliance when all else fails.Hard work is time consuming but pays dividends……………..

Keymaster😆 We have had several request to do inspection reports for this ins. co.
They keep coming back at our charge rate of £58.00 inc……..do I neeeed to say more?admin
KeymasterI’ve said before that retra pay us £58.00 as a labour rate to do the odd job directly. It has to be one of our 1st ports of call once we have our own network in place.Recent events are all leading to the conclusion that we will have our network sooner rather than later…….if you can read this now is the time to start diluting Nesn’s grip on your company, you will need your freedom soon.Oh was this about Gb Dar..who are they!!!!!

Keymaster😈 I’ve had mine and its full of crap, wrong facts and waffle. It quite clearly blames “scogs” as chief conspirator and I must agree with this assumption(ha ha).Ah well ,at least we can get on with life knowing at least one firm wants to sue the arse out of me(us),kinda makes it all worth while.
