He is really from Cornwall. He was blown north by a gale many years ago, and not having the power of flight has remained there ever since.

That will be a first, a penguin at the North Pole, they are Southern Hemisphere dwellers.

I would have suggested off on a flight of fancy, however flying and Mr P do not belong in the same sentence!

Probably off on some sojourn or sabbatical, or maybe has broken down after blowing a seal.

    Don’t tell Washdoctor.

Otherwise he will be ordering the universal waste hose HSE658 to put on the exhaust of his van. I suppose we ought to tell him it doesn’t work on diesel.

What a bloody incestous bunch this bloody trade happens to be. Apart from his constant sniffing which gets on my tit, I didn’t dislike Mark Reilly. Thanks for the heads up, as it reinforces why I still didn’t trust the guy.

Despite all said & done, I will pop the question regards South Yakki-Dah-Land. However they do tend to leave you to work it out for yourself.

    Re: A certain poster!

(I haven’t told you this) S.F. are not too keen on Nevets. Connect won’t talk to them. I know that for fact.

Fred Young at Drulight, who I gather SF don’t have any issues with I doubt would be keen on Connect, so you have opened an interesting point.

Ian Harrison at Haverfordwest has reduced his area to something very small indeed, which was how come Swansea came up for grabs.

    It gets better.

    Lee8

Several of us S.F. Agents believed at one stage Lee8 to be one of us. He knew all about the Chinese washing machine, and posted something whilst the mach was doing the training rounds, yet was not on general release. He has posted regards a cooker recall, and some Beko stuff, all not on public release which all leads towards him having the right contacts.

He mentioned that most S/F agents were running a scam, (Untrue incidentally) and that was what lead some of us S/F agents onto a witch-hunt to find him. Trail went cold and it went off Kilter, someone in the forums put a surname to him, and none of us know who that is?

Unless we can get a location or he gives something away in another post, I doubt if we will ever get to the bottom of it.

    Moving on.

Ade, are you up for this? I can have a word with the regional ops manager who covers South Taffland, and get some vibes whether they are on the look-out. They are not like some and go looking for change where change is due. They are not Whirlpool.

Only thing is, your Service Force Wales posting may muddy the waters, but it is worth a punt.

    Well put my boy.

It has been said on this forum in the beginning when this was all coming into place, some of us were having reservations about Connect being too big a slice of any repairers operation, that there could be problems with them calling the tune and too many eggs in same basket etc.

At the worst (could be argued at the best 5 years ago) that account for me was running 22{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} with Connect work, equating to just over 2 engineers & 1 support staff.

Before all this kicked in, the figure on a year by year linear scale was dropping to 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, 18{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} and now 16{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the revenue stream and it is now rapidly getting smaller in part thanks to the rate drop.

I have already showed them my spread sheets and the comparison charts, and have told them that when I see below 15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} than I can afford to, in my words, “play with you, and run it my way” This is now taking effect.

We now reject all calls where the model number, address or phone number is unclear. I also reject multi-fault calls as I advise that we cannot afford to make second visits.

We rearrange EVERY pre-booked, even if the appointment would have suited us.

We are refusing to do anything that relates to cosmetic, and if we make a call where the customer tells us she needs anything over and above the fault description, we refuse to order the part and point out the reported fault. When it comes back as one of their recalls, I request a cancellation.

We refuse ALL requests to carry out a service visit by special request, being out of their area, despite probably being in that patch for someone else.

At the end of last month I dropped 16 postcodes, and tomorrow (Mon 23rd) I shall drop another 5.

    K.

From that then I would probably be right in assuming you are talking those that use Repaircare to have products repaired. Probably DSG for one, and I suspect some other players are bothered regards the network crumbling.

If so I’m glad the message is getting out.

    Back to the topic.

Has anyone taken the trouble to check call volumes on your Repaircare contract statistics.

I have just discovered to my horror that the DSGi work amounts in numbers to 68{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the Connect contract as a whole.

    Oh Dear!!

    Re: Lee’s DSG Thread

Perhaps it may have been prudent to drop the postings from earlier pages on the Repaircare thread into this section as well. Pages 5 to 7 for example.

The point is Lee, you have had lots to say regards JTM for example, and those of us affected by Repaircare, and nothing to do with JTM have largely refrained from comment unless considered to be fully appropriate.

Regretfuly you didn’t do the same and as a result have highjacked what was a very readable and easy to follow subject. The construction and flow of the topic has become very fragmented as a result of your ramblings.

Please don’t take offence, but some poeple have a point to make, and heckling from the wings doesn’t help.

I would love to see one of the mods take out his inane comments, even if re-posted under “Lee’s ranting, or hasn’t a bloody clue” thread.

Re: NESN Again (The 2010 Thread)

Somewhere in the trade forums it has been well documented regards the Rangemaster and Hoover/Candy. To be honest I’ve only heard verbally from Andy Craw confirming this, but would love to find something officially regards either contract.

Reason is, this was posted on the Repaircare forum by Bernard earlier today.

Thanks or your comment and feedback, specifically regarding work going to NESN.

I think the comments regarding work going to NESN are incorrect; Bosch has gone to NESN-but DSGi work Hoover and Candy still remain with GIAS. DSGi Rangemaster still remains with Repaircare. This correct as I write this note.

I know this will not stop speculation-but we are doing all we can within Repaircare to keep existing work and bring on board new clients.
