Yep, came last week, All GDA and Merloni products on one disk, quite handy, but it’s £80 odd, plus £20 for each terminal if you want it networked 🙁 Plus it has to be verified either on line or via a phone call, i.e. no “copies” available. 😥

    Dave.

It was supposed to be a DVD, they got that wrong. I had the old one networked without using their additional disk. I’m working on this one, nearly there but it is a clever one this time.

I can only speak from the Merloni side from when we were agents.

The spares turnaround was abysmal. You could place an order of 20 lines & 18 be on back order. We still kept receiving parcels from them containing back orders 7 months after we terminated. I must assume that GDA were better?

    Devaluation of whitegoods

Without being picky, C.H. issued a personal document at the DASA meeeting. Included on that was a scurrilous remark undermining the integrity of the whitegoods group.

Kevin Heath picked up on this & I latched on very quickly. Anyone there at the time will no doubt recall I strongly requested that the protests that were unanimous in that room be put on the minutes. Did I miss a page from those minutes? as this protest wasn’t tabulated. If not would there be an objection if I mention this small point on the forthcoming meeting? If it is felt prudent that I keep quiet, then no problem as I don’t want to make it look like that we are usurping good old DASA, after all we will be working with them soon.

    Comments please.

Many thanks, seems like we haven’t got beds to go to.

Whilst trawling through this, on BBC2 has been a gem of a programme called “grumpy old men”. My misssus kept looking at me throughout this and giggled in several places. Can’t figure out why.

    GB DAR

GB Dar sent me an e-mail the other week. They must have forgot I threw them out 3 years ago.

My reply was to the tune of £42 per call plus £10 add on for gas, as well as my own control of spares and no reconciliation on their parts. Plus no pre-booked calls as well as exclusivity of the work. I knew they would say no, and they did. In fact I was surprised they even answered. I would have been buggered if they were willing to talk.

2 of my staff used to work for Kevin Moat, they have some stories. By the way I found that he is the director of 5 companies. Not that there is a connection with the above of course.

Snag is if this woman is around, the conversation may be stifled. May be an idea to get her pissed, or is there a risk she will get frisky?

AS its this forum here goes………….

Andy Craw shafted the company he worked for (isdal) by still owning JTM services run by his wife and Paul Feek.He employed them as an agent and looked after them very well.He eventually got caught

    Quote end.

If you want a laugh, Andy Craw & his wife paid me a visit one day whilst with ISDA. During the visit he told me all about our Mutual friend Mr Roy F….r. Andy said that Roy was subject to an investigation from his employers DSG for unauthorised trading. Looked like he was in for the chop. How ironic is that? I had already done some odd work for Andy and been asked not to tell anyone at ISDA, do all the contact through his mobile & invoice a mate of his, Paul Feek.

As regards Roy F….r I had also done some work & invoiced to his home address. Took months to get paid. In both cases I stopped the work as it looked too dodgy. I nearly pissed myself when I heard how Andy Craw was booted out.

Thankyou guys. I feel somewhat humbled by all this.

I will spend a few moments over the weekend catching up. What I’ve seen so far is mind blowing.

All LG invoices come straight to us with the parcel from LG, then 2 days later we get a copy in the post. We always order off the LG website using our account, that way the part comes directly to us and on our account. Therefore we have no problems. However they do take their time sending out statements, can be up to a year.

LG are traditionally slow at most things, this includes their accounts.

I hope I’m booked in for the Boat. I left a message on their A/Machine advising that there was a block booking of 20 plus in the name of Kevin Heath. please add me to it. I left my name & mobile number & heard no more.

So I’m running on an assumption.

Sorry I know that London is the capital. I will admit I was looking no further than a few junctions down the M5 and then across to the M6.

I must assume there are a few shennanigans afoot? I can hear a time bomb ticking I think.

Oh Dear!! Suppose people decide to say “Stuff it, it is my ball and I’m going home”. In other words I can see the potential of Network DASA it looks good and honest & I want to be part of it.

This won’t affect me as I don’t do work for whoever they are in SOS (phew). But I can see the pitfalls as there will good agents out there who will now be held to ransom. If these agents terminate, that will no doubt slow down any due payments and of course the wages still have to be paid out. Along with staffing levels that may have to be re-considered. It means keeping your present quota of staff in case something else comes along. Short & Curlies I think is the term here, I’m really glad I wasn’t pulled into working for this lot.

I suppose they may start approaching Service Force agents individually. Something tells me I won’t get such a call.

What about a certain WP who dislikes you taking on other work? Will that stop any potential companies registering with Network DASA.

I hope these people can be brave enough to terminate with the 1st work provider.

I knew I was in the clear.

Anyway I have an alibi, was in Italy. They knew I was coming, there was a power cut all Day Tuesday, Mount Vesuvius was closed due to the rain and to cap it all for the 1st time in 2000 years, the Colleseum was closed due to a strike that happened just before we arrived at the gates.

Apart from that, had a great time, loads of wine etc. they can’t make beer over there.

Took me a while, after reading other postings, what the sos meant, (phew). It seems like it the whole thing smells. Can I assume the Capital is in the midlands somewhere?

    Caio
