ParticipantTop 2 lights are the fault code indication of door lock problem. If not triac on main board. Best of luck

ParticipantWhat would be fantastic is if we could ensure that the persons who have been in league with NESN get bugger all out of this.
I don’t need to name names, I would rather they didn’t profit out of our efforts. I wold love to see them fall by the wayside.
I might even consider doing some C/Plan work at the end of all this. (I say might)
Alex
ParticipantWhat if you phone David Parker & fire this question across his bows.
“I’m interested in the possibility of renewing my association with the C/Plan contract. As you know I’ve terminated with NESN and that leaves me with a contractual issue. If we can be of any help, then you know where we are. Will there be a problem regards the NESN terms & conditions?”
I think it is encouraging that Connect is writing to ex NESN agents. Mind you that doesn’t take away the fact the work is crap and carries a poor profit margin.
We are now into interesting times. This proves the value of this forum, I’m sure we have helped this come about.

Endeva Service Ltd. along with Endeva Fulfilment ltd. part of the Box Clever Technology Group are in Administrative Receivership, that is common knowledge. However, I thought it was ringfenced and covered by Price Waterhouse Coopers who have been willing to provide documentation of guarantee.
Endeva has been attempting to set up a new network using independents. Does this mean they have failed to get off the ground? Or is this just a bit of history that has taken a while to filter through?
Take a look in work and vacancies; there is a string in there relating to Care 4. It just may be that some of the insurance companies who has used Endeva are looking at using Care 4.

ParticipantDave.
Have a word with your local Devondale Electrical suppliers. They have beaten all prices I’ve ever been qouted, there is one company that supplies Service Force & supposed to give a preferential rate, Devondale will beat it.
Give them a bell & put the prices up on here if you like, I would do it myself, but due to poor sickly engineers that are unable to turn out a days work, I’m out on the road.

ParticipantBe careful M.W. doesn’t attempt a debriefing session in the night.
Alex
ParticipantYou should have started that with, “Are we all sitting comforatably? then I’ll begin”.
Perhaps Mr Grumpy Arse will seek new employment with the keeper of the Castle with a drawbridge in Wednesbury. Those 2 are well suited.
I’m dying to know, what happened to the old tart that was sent out as a spy? I assume she is now sniffing luggage at an airport somewhere?

ParticipantWhat letter, can you expand on this? Not that I want one of course but some of us seem to be missing out.

It’s here http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/sfindex.htm and in the downloads section now 🙂
Dave.
As Chris Tarrant would say, “Thankyou Audience”! Transpires I can answer my own question.
Turned out I had the information all along from the HSE. Because I get loads of rubbish in the post I tend to glance at anything that looks too official and not take it in, gets filed but not in my brain.
If anyone feels they need any of this go to http://www.hsebooks.co.uk or http://www.hse.gov.uk
Another thing that we are being asked for these days are details of the CDM regulations. CDM meaning Construction, Design & Management. Sometimes needed if carrying out contract work, to date we haven’t had to follow this up, but the day will come.

ParticipantAll I can say is Yuk!! I think they deserved each other, what lengths people will go to eh! I assume he had a small part in something from a work provider. And the puns keep on coming.
I wonder if a double room was booked.
I thought it a nice touch of the Hotel to put a blow up doll in my single room, trouble is I gave her a love bite, she farted and flew out the open window.
Alex
ParticipantWhat did I miss, or is this something to do with the company he kept after we all turned in for the night on Friday?
Just being nosey, nothing like a good scandal. Excuse the pun, Wheelin & Dealin may be the theme here. Think about it!

ParticipantIf the machine “jetted into spin” during a wash cycle, yes. The water would “spew” out the soap dispenser and in serious cases the door would burst open. The pressure system notices the water level is down and then will call for more water to replace the loss.
The only evidence would be the door being open when discovered and perhaps the machine had moved from the normal position on the floor.
Another likely cause is overdosing or wrong detergent. The water would come out clean but there would be soapy streaks inside the cabinet under the soap dispenser. This is a very common scenario.
As stated earlier, intermittant faults or cases where it doesn’t manifest itself, very difficult to trace and effect a cure. You can’t fix a fault that isn’t there.

ParticipantI would tend to agree with the last statement from Dave. It seems Chris tries to do everything himself. He has lasses answering the phones at DASA but they can never help me, even a simple little thing like confirmation I’m booked into the hotel for the DASA meeting. This is not due to the girls not being incapable, They tell me; “Oh I’m sorry, we only answer the phones, if you need to know anything like that, the only person who can answer is Chris, he does all the bookings and arrangements”.
I wanted to report a company advertising in our Yellow pages the DASA logo when they weren’t members, I had the same from the girl on the phone at that time; “Sorry you will need to speak to Chris, I will get him to phone you”.
Why have a dog & bark yourself? It is no wonder he has had health problems; not due to rushing around of course, but taking too much on and not delegating his workload. That is why you employ people, because there aint enough hours in the day.

ParticipantWe tend to save the orders up as well, MFI are aware of this as we still order at least 3 times per week, so there is little delay.
The 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} may not sound generous, but it is 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} more than anyone else will give us.
In short, we don’t get a problem, our only concern is the majority of work is integrated and time consuming.

kwatt wrote:It may interest anyone doing NESN/MASTERCARE
work that the fee paid by mastercare for PHILCO
appliances was £41.00 + VAT with spares at cost. This was in 1998 !
No doubt, like us, anyone doing the work then will
still have the spares sitting on the shelf. How true that is. On top of that there was an incentive scheme to keep the spares cost below £16.00 on each M/Care call. This was headed by Electrue and there was a prize of a weekend for 2 in Bruges. Now think about it, this was an incentive, put up by a supplier to actually encourage you to buy LESS from them and giving you a prize for doing this. Turkeys voting for Xmas twice a year I think!
We still have loads of Philco spares as well, will sell at a very cheap rate if anyone wants anything & I can add Candy to that.
We have just done our latest Yellow pages advert, have taken out most maufacturers but left Philco there in case there is still a machine out there where someone wants a bit. Unlikely I suspect.
