1: Go to Catalogue in the left hand pane.
2: Click by type.
3: Find connector points are 3rd column down, right hand side.
4: Hold your breath & prepare to be excited.
9 Items, of which…… 2 out of stock, 3 limited stock. The rest (all 4 of them) not even stocking fillers for Christmas
I have 158,650 points to waste.

Thankyou Washdoctor for putting it in a nutshell.
The biggest dis-favour we are done happens to be by those who offer “No Call-out” It encourages customers to look for the free meal ticket.
Very often despite being more expensive than the man & van, we can offer varoius means of assistance and if the appliance is not too old, can arrange a discount on spares, supported by the manufacturer.
I feel that by offering something for nothing bears a cost which is then recovered from those that are willing or able to pay.
Personal opinion on this of course, but also by experience after doing this for a long time, and still here.

Chris. So I assumed, but he’s taking a long time to lick his wounds. Also he didn’t go into a shell straight away; he was still posting after his period of dissent.
Anyway, it is bu66er all to do with me as I bet there was more to it than what I read between the lines, I just find it odd that if he has taken umbrage, it took a week or two to get the hint.
Despite some of his seemingly ramblings, I didn’t think he was all bad, and I feel he is not the sort just to go into excile, not without a fuss at least. It cannot be denied he did do some sterling work at times.
Time may tell.

Another question.
If there are any Franchised agents left out there who are carrying out the work on behalf of Merloni, do you guys have to pay for this equipment, or is it supplied F.O.C.
In the same vein, I wonder if they (Merloni) supply this to Comet on an F.O.C. basis?
Just intrigue!

Well disappeared I must assume. I haven’t even seen his name, let alone a posting.
Is he sulking, dead, retired, out the country, doing a bit of her Majestys?
I noticed some innocent punter put up exactly the same title in the General forums. Made me smile.
Simply intrigued!

May I say thanks for highlighting this.
I tried to log on tonight, no joy, thought was a poor broaband due to the wet weather, and not good enough to support my wireless set up. (Village few miles from the exchange, and not the only Broadband in the Village)
Quite a usual ocurrence, so I usually patch in my old fixed connection, reset in connectivity, and away. No joy there either.
Then I remembered what I’d read in these hallowed pages, done a system restore and rest my Zone Labs firewall, bingo.
Had I not seen it here, I would never have sussed out why.

It is an accolade, well done. Regards the “Gob-Shite” bit, they must have some respect as I’m sure if there was a secret agenda, it would have been applied.
Suppose you will be sharing a table with someone from Rotherham if you are not careful, or have D&G seen the light I wonder?
Congrats.

Ah yes Joshua Tree, “Bullet the Blue Sky” is the best track, but even better live on Rattle & Hum.
How about this for a cracking album, Laid by James. It is one of those I rarely play as I don’t want to get fed up with it.

Now turn this on its head.
You as an employer are faced with 3 shortlisted interviewees, 2 of which are of ethnic background. You pick the best candidate no matter what colour, race or creed and he happens not to be the blue eyed blonde haired one. He can then cite racial discrimination now as well, pointing out that in his opinion your preference was influenced by the rules and criteria involved regards your choice in the successful ethnic candidate.
One of the best engineers I met at a training course was Afro Caribbean, cracking engineer. However that does not count when it comes to employing staff. Fortunately skills are the main criteria in our case.

A reflection of what seems to be the norm, of course there are exceptions as Iadom pointed out. However in his case, like myself we are long established. In addition those of us with agencies are assured a constant flow of work, even if not very lucrative, or stable come to that.
I chat to quite a few in my area who have gone it alone, and to be honest they are finding it tough. In particular those who took the “plunge” in the last 2 or 3 years. They were no doubt hoping from humble beginnings to build up a data base, and progress upwards.
I’ve read some of the postings and I had to smile. As I run a limited company, I’m on payroll & set myself as 20 hours per week, and have automatic qualification for 2 full weeks or 4 half weeks holiday. Last time I calculated my working week was 74 hours. Last year I took 7 days out, this year (since April) 2 days and nothing else booked. My staff get 25 days. Pension. Go home at 5-ish. Weekends are theirs. If the van breaks down, they make a phone call on the phone provided. If they are ill they can take it easy, and there is a scheme. If the customer does not pay never mind. If it needs a part, call back in a few days, cost is not an issue. If they perorm well, and work hard there is a bonus. All said & done though I’m not decrying what they get.
I feel sorry for anyone who branches out these days.

GregYawn, that would have sent me to sleep for sure, nearly as exciting as Phil Collins.
Love to see Peter Gabriel, but lately he has gone a bit Avant Garde, or perhaps surreal is a better adjective.

What hit me is if he is playing the cancer card, why does he look so lardy? or is he on Steroids?
Never mind, it does make me smile when he is feted by these reputable companies. Hope he hasn’t won the Connect Jolly in Majorca this week.

Has anyone seen the D&G agents newsletter that came out today.
There is a full spread in the middle, and one rather overweight Bollickal Bill the sailor receiving his tech award. Thinking about it, he has grown a full spread in the middle as well I suspect, looking at his chins. To quote Joan Rivers, “More Chins than the Chinese telephone book”
I digress…
D&G have stated that DAR Rotherham has just won 7 awards in the last 10 years Now correct me if I’m wrong, I thought DAR was the new conception afer the demise of KPI or whatever he called his lot? and that was about 3 years ago.

All this has passed me by, had to look at the Radio Times (other listing magazines are available) to see what this is all about. This is on at a silly time like 8 pm. I never get to watch day-time telly.
Joking aside, nice smile, love the hair & an acomplished deep sea diver. Still didn’t chance to watch any of it though.
