Re: Bosch KUR1505 built-in refridgerator not cooling

Many thanks Dave, that’s given me something to go on. No thermistor or electronics on this model, excellent.

There’s an item in there which I don’t understand the purpose of, can anyone tell me the purpose of a “Dryer for freezer cabinets” please? http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/produ … r/00093110

    Re: NEFF B4540 E15 error – FIXED

I managed to figure this out….

Using the French user guide I determined that the ‘Spit’ symbol referred to during my web searches (which my oven doesn’t have) corresponds to the Top Heat function [symbol with a single unbroken horizontal bar across the top] immediately to the left of the Pyrolysis symbol.

From there the fix was to start by turning the dial clockwise (I think?) to the Pyrolysis position then quickly back and forth between the Top Heat position and back to Pyrolysis 4x. When you get it right every LED display segment and all of the icons come on. From there turn the dial to the normal ‘off’ position and the oven is reset.

    Phew!
The fan sounds ‘clunky’, perhaps that caused my E15 error, just need to source a replacement. 😀

Thanks for the helpful reply, Greg. I’ll give Currys a call tomorrow.

I don’t know whether this is related….. I also remember that a few weeks ago I selected bottom heating with fan and the oven wasn’t heating at all. I momentatily selected top heat then back to bottom heat and it was OK after that.

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius WF000G not hot filling

    Just a quick update…..

New cold fill valves fitted today and the machine is working again. thanks, Johnny.

PS. I’m still interested in understanding the roles (and approximate cycle timing) of the various detergent compartments on this machine if anyone can enlighten me. 🙂

It looks like the other cold solenoid is open circuit, excellent, thanks for the advice.

I’ve obviously misunderstood the 3 solenoids and their roles here. In particular, I thought one of the cold solenoids (the faulty one in my case) flushed through the fabric conditioner section? I presumed that the conditioner would sit there undisturbed during the main wash part of the cycle?

The PCB was £30 brand new on eBay — looks like somebody else bought one and found they didn’t need it too! If it wasn’t for the £90 charges I’d have had it fixed under warranty. Mind you, from reading on here, I’m getting the impression that these Hotpoint/Indesit/whatever machines ain’t so great.
