    Re: Hotpoint WML520 Aquarious 6kg

Problem has returned after a month. There is a change in that the machine will now not pump out or spin when those modes are selected.
I shall remake the plug and check the brushes again(will order new I think) and see how I go.
    Any other guidance greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks for your reply.
I removed the brush holders from the motor(2 screws) and exercised the brushes(good amount of brush left approx 30mm. Unplugged the motor plug that sits on the motor and refitted after checking for burnt/loose wires.
Machine has done 4 washes no problems. Maybe i dislodged a sticky brush or something I am not sure.

Many thanks for your reply, I will get to checking mid week.
My sister said the machine did 3 washes that day in quick succession but when she went to do a 4th! wash it would not respond to the start button so switched it off at the wall.

Re: Hotpoint WF530 – All lights flashing rapidly on front fa

    thanks especially to Tim Downing

Repaired! On inspection the control board had a failing capacitor(only brown one labelled 680microfarad, 10volt)had blown its bottom plug and top was bulging and starting to leak. Did not have an exact replacement so placed two 330microfarad, 10v electrolytic capactiors in parallel and installed.
Going like a dream, well chuffed.
    Thanks again

So a pcb fault? I have done pcb repairs before so could change this cap possibly. Do you know which one it is by any chance? Do i access the pcb from the top cover or from the rear?

    Thank you for your replies.

    Re: Hotpoint WT 540 FAULT

sorry i have taken so long to reply…turns out the fault in the end was a blocked hole underneath the powder tray.I removed the tray and saw a build up of hardened powder…went to clean it and low and behold a hole appeared…..!

    thanks for your advice.

    Re: Hotpoint WT 540 FAULT

yes lamps one and two, thats top to bottom.

I tilted the machine to nearly flat on its side.Facing the facia of the machine it was tilted to the right, when i looked underneath(from the L.H.S side) the pump was to the right and there was a printed circuit board to the rear left.

    THANKS

    ARTHUR
