ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWF1230W E50 Error Code help
Thought I better report back with our “solution” to the problem. My Dad is looking for another identical but broken washing machine with working control panel to swap them. If anyone has access to a control panel for one of these machines, at a VERY cheap price, pls give me a shout! 🙂

Hi, thank you for your input, after repeated “turning off and on again” and hitting the control panel, it started working again. 🙂 x

Thanking you kindly 🙂
I do the cooking, but he is the boss in this house 🙂
(he does do all the other housework apart from animal husbandry though bless him) <– That's because I'm disabled not because I'm a lazy heffer mind 😛
Thanking you again.
I will not switch the mains off before the oven has cooled down again thanks! 😉

(I regularly use it at 230degC).What on earth are you cooking anyway in a fan oven set at 230c I wonder? 😕

Erm… 😳 😳 😳 😳 McCain’s HomeFries? *so ashamed* <– it's the partner's fault, honest… he loves them 😆
They say 230degC, but we do not have the “if you have a fan oven, refer to manufacturer’s recommendations” as we are renting this house (yet another move) so we don’t know what we should be cooking them at… they still take the 20 minutes that they claim to take so either the oven isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, or the temperature gauge isn’t as accurate as it seems.

ParticipantRe: BOSCH Classixx Dishwasher problems
After lots of messing about and cleaning and checking various parts, we seem to have solved the problem, we are not sure whether it was one of the things or a combination of the things that we did, but we have just had a successful dishwasher cycle, and are on our second load (backlog of only two days and we have to do 4 loads!) With Finish tablets, instead of our usual cheap ones.

ParticipantThink we’ve found the model number!
It was so lightly etched that looking at it straight on made it invisible, it was only by chance that as we were looking around the door with it half open that the sun caught it and showed it up!
It says:
E-Nr. SGS43C12GB/15
Type: SL15KJB

ParticipantHaving removed the front plastic strip we are presented with grey plastic that arches up under the door and appears to have no screws or attachments. It also goes under the machine and forms the feet.
Apart from taking the complete metal dishwasher casing off. we cannot see any way to get inside?
We’ve looked again and cannot find any model number inside the door!

Thank you. but as I said we’ve already tried this.. if I turned it down any lower it would be off. 🙁

nope.. unfortunately this made it far worse.. the water came out of more places with the drawer ajar 🙁
am doing the 60deg wash with a dishwasher tablet though, to see if it smells any better…
all these things.. and so much washing building up 🙁

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint New Wave 5 – Stinky.. and flooding.
I stand corrected…
Sorry.. it is a hoover.. well hoover make.. not the sucky one 😉
What is wrong with the liquitabs? I’ve found them very effective on cleaning the clothes.. or is it the effect they have on the washing machine that’s a no no?
I’ve cleaned all crevices and creases VERY carefully, they were disgusting.. not sure if it was dirt or dead skin, or a combination of the two?
I have two children.. so it could be just foodwaste and dirt.
*upchucks*
I’ll have a look at that part, because atm we’re very skint and can’t afford much at all.. we’ll be lucky if we cover the rent this month 🙁
I guess for now I’ll keep on with the towel on the floor underneath the washing machine.
Thank you very much for your quick reply 😉

THOUGHT I’D BETTER ADD…
The washing machine is now 7 years old, and apart from when it was covered under it’s 5 year guarantee and kept going wrong.. (mainly the dryer bit).. nothing has been serviced or changed..
