you also say its a new dishwasher. If you take it apart you will probably void any guarantee you have

Guess I could, just thought that would be frowned upon for some reason.

OK, so I have another oddity.
Been forced to handwash some clothes tonight, used the machine to spin them and then dry them. Spin works fine, then trying to dry them produces an ‘E10’ error code. After this, the clothes have gone from ‘damp’ after the spin cycle to ‘can wring them out’ wet during the drying cycle.
Confused.

that is where the hose goes and if after checking the hose for damage you find none the next check is to make sure this pressure bell is clear of sludge
Dave
Thanks for the suggestion, will give it a try.
Any tips on how best to access it?

No, not getting any error codes.
If I pause the programme it does stop filling immediately.
Haven’t checked the hose, mainly because I’m not sure what the other end is connected to, whether it just pulls off and how I would go about reconnecting it.

Back up and running!
Thanks for all that helped me out, wasn’t too hard in the end.
For anyone who might find this in the future…
New part arrived, 20ohm reading with the multimeter on the right two large pins in my picture which gave me some confidence that the original was dead. Fitted it back in and hot water has returned.
This video was perfect for showing how to remove the part with the least amount of hassle – https://youtu.be/BKAQmq9MPN8
Cheers!

cant tell you exactly what to expect but if its over 1000 ohms then its gone
the problem comes with why is it
1 just failed because it wanted to
2 blocked filters
3 diverter valve faulty
4 blocked bars2, 3 and 4 in other words anything that lowers the flow rate causing overheating
Dave
So I have had the multimeter on it, I don’t get any reading at all no matter what combination of pins I try. I haven’t used the multimeter in a while (thinking from both a knowledge and reliability perspective), but I tested a fuse and lightbulb on the same setting and got a low reading on both, so I don’t think I am being totally inept here.
Does this point to the heater being dead, or are things still inconclusive?

the other 2 are the heateryou should get a lowish ohm reading with a multi meter between 2 of them
Dave
Thanks for the reply.Yep, I got that from the plug that came off the terminals, left pin is ground, other two are live.
Sorry to be clueless about this, but do you mean between the two lives or one of the lives and earth? What sort of range am I looking for a working circuit and one that is broken?
Thanks again.
