    It was the drawer guys. Its been replaced and is fine now.

    Thanks for that. I’ve pulled out the drawer where the powder etc goes and there was a well of water in the softener part. I’ve cleaned it out and will look again on the next wash.

    It is a WMD940K.

    thanks dave, that didn’t really help. the oven in question is a proper oven not a table top oven which are the only ones listed on the site you suggested. i.m looking for a friend really who has bought one of these kenwood ovens (somehow without a manual?) and he isn’t sure what all the buttons on the oven actually do. 🙁

    Any further help on the matter would be great.

    i’ve cleaned the filter out at the bottom and nothing happenned. i left it turned off for a bit and last night the missis turned it on and pressed the reset button and it now works ??!!

    wierd?!

    would it be worth the engineer having a look anyway?
