Hi all
just thought i’d give you an update on the above, went back to it today armed with a new pcb, I had already meggered the machine which was ok, however when I arrived I put it through the last error detected test which didnt show anything useful, only a “start button pressed with door open” error, so before I fitted the new pcb I decided to try reprogramming the old pcb and after putting it through the programming sequence it worked perfectly ok 😀 so after thouroughly testing it and everything being ok I have left the customer to try it for a week to see if it carrys on working ok, fingers crossed. Once again thanks to all for taking the time to reply to me, cheers guys.Brian

thanks for your reply guys, it was a brand new motor i had in stock
that i tried in it and the wiring checked ok so that was making me discount a tacho fault. it doesnt have a control for variable spin speed (I wish it was that easy for me). I will try your suggestion about the last error code jim, i’ll let you know how I get on, thanks guys.Brian

thanks for the quick reply jim. I haven’t put it through the last error test but I will make that my next step. I should have said that I have checked the wiring from the motor as well.

thanks very much baron, i passed on the information you gave me to a local engineer that my son called out and you were 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} correct, the capacitor cured the fault 😀 dont know if you read these forums alan but if you do thanks for doing the job and charging a very reasonable rate.

ParticipantRe: zanussi wjd1257w problem
checked out the NTC thermistor today and it’s faulty, reading 166K as opposed to 5.7K – 6.3K. A new one solved the problem.

ParticipantRe: zanussi wjd1257w problem
thanks very much for that chris. the machine doesn’t give an error during the normal drying cycle, however when i put it through it’s test sequence it stops during the drying test cycle and throws up an E72 error code (NTC on drying condenser faulty) so i will look into that tomorrow, thanks again chris.
