    Re: Samsung srs 2028cvw

Thanks for that valuable information helo_75. I tested the defrost heater and the drain heater of the fridge side using a simple 9v circuit test and both, after lots of attempts show as open circuits. The heaters on the freezer side however show a closed circuit and a full flow of juice. Heaven knows about resistance. Would I be right in concluding that the fridge heaters are dead?

    Cheers

I shall just correct my last post if I may, its not the door picture that flashes but the number -15 on the freezer door. That being the figure I had set it to.

    Thanks

Re: Samsung SRS2026cvw – freezer defrosting

Hello Alison, sorry I cant actually help but I will lend a voice to your plea.

The problem with my sr-s2028cvw was just as mentioned in a thread from last summer. After 12 or 13 hours the thing wouldnt start up again unless I thurned it off and on at the plug. a new defrost sensor, thermal fuse and heater for the fridge seemed to be the answer. Dave from Whitegoods suggested it was very unlikely to be the defrost heater so I ordered and fitted the other two. Now I have the same symtems as you ; it runs ok for a few hours then the picture of the door flashes on the freezer side. Carrying out a Diagnostics test reveals no faults. I did try using the old sensor and fuse from the fridge side in the freezer but no change. Any ideas please folks?
