ParticipantJust to give you the answer for future reference, I fitted a new motor board (1921403000) yesterday and it has sorted the problem. Thanks for your imput on this one.

ParticipantFitted the new belt today, it was certainly shorter, tighter and felt less elastic. Expectations were high but still no spin with load. The machine was only made in May 2024 and everything looks like new. So do I really have to go armed with, motor, motor pcb & main pcb. Customer is quite patient but lives 10 miles away so getting annoying now. Any thoughts please

ParticipantThank you for the answers, I was sort of considering the belt, couldn’t see any slip or hear any, but it did feel quite elastic. It’s certainly going to be worth trying that first. I will let you know the outcome.

ParticipantAre there any Miele engineers here? Can you point us in the right direction for the technical error 3?
bzz67
ParticipantI shall check with the engineer that went. Would that mean replacing the complete board anyway on this?

ParticipantDoes anybody know the rules with going to houses where someone is over the age of 70? We are into our second week of working, and we are telling the elderly that we can not go into there houses and now have a list of over 50 customers waiting. Although most are understanding, few are desperate for us to go out and help, offering to leave the house if necessary just so we can go in. It seems a bit of a grey area and I can’t find a definitive answer anywhere online. We just don’t want to go to someone house and then hear they’ve been taken ill.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

ParticipantRe: Beware of this buying scam
This is what we wanted to check before letting it go. They said no as it was done by phone so not a “secure sale”. They only would if it was done by chip and pin.

ParticipantRe: Beware of this buying scam
It all just seemed to quick and easy from the start for our liking and things didn’t add up and we smelt a rat. We’re based in mid Devon, and the appliances were being taken to a property of his in Woking, and the first 2 cards he tried paying with were declined, but when the third card was accepted, we called the credit card company to check if it was a secure sale as it was over the phone. They told us no, and the buyer has so many days to argue it (say it wasn’t them). Thinking this was his game, we called the courier company that he had organised to pick the goods up to ask if they have dealt with him before. They had picked up 7 appliances from another retailer a few days ago and kindly told us where from. So we called them and got told that they had lost £3000 worth to the same guy with the same story.
The guy had answers for everything we threw at him before we knew all this, but we also didn’t want to upset what could have been a good sale, and good future customer.bzz67
ParticipantRe: AEG DISHWASHER NO HEAT
Thanks for all your help and input on this, but grooster wins the prize…..circulating motor sorted it. If only it wasn’t the last thing we tried. But in our defence, it did seem to be running ok and up to speed. So how would you diagnose that on a intermittent heat fault?
Anyway, UKWG saves the day. Thanks againbzz67

ParticipantRe: AEG DISHWASHER NO HEAT
i have got into what i think is the diagnostics and got 13 flashes of the end of cycle light. The model is FAVORIT40010VI pnc:911935627
Its a intermittent heat problem and its getting the better of us at the moment. Everything checked out ok so we replaced the pcb, even wiring, but still no good.
Any help/ ideas would be good (If not, I’ll try the hammer on it)bzz67
ParticipantRe: AEG DISHWASHER NO HEAT
Hi
Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem? We have a very similar problem with one in our workshop right now and its starting to drive us mad.
Thanksbzz67
ParticipantRe: LG auto F1222D5 paddle
We just had one of these in our workshop for this job. We heated up the front end of the drum paddle using a heat gun set to 380’c, which made it just flexible enough to give when pulling against the drum allowing the clips to fit into the correct position. Job done

ParticipantRe: Swan error code E6
Did you remember what you did to sort this problem? We have sw3020b with the same problem. We have changed the reactor (which we have done on one before successfully), but still no joy.
