I SEEM TO REMEMBER HAVING THIS FAULT BEFORE.IF YOU HAVE ONLY METER TESTED THE ELEMENT, TRY REPLACING IT OR PUT MAINS DIRECTLY TO IT.BROKEN ELEMENT CAN STILL SHOW A RESISTANCE ON A METER.

Hooray. The machine is working, it was a broken wire in the motor loom, the sleave was fine but the wire was broke where the loom cable ties to the underside of the drum. thanks anyway for the sugestions.

first have you reset the program by swithing off for 1 minute, select zero then switch on until neon has done its little rapid flashing bit.always test motor, heater & thermistor before ordering pcb.try emw for board then if its not that at fault they will only charge you for the test.

    Re: WMA Drum Screws breaking?

the best way i have found to remove a broken screw `like the ones that snap on modern hoover counter weights`, is to cut a slot in the end of the thread with a drimmel, dont worry if you cut the plastic tub a little.then you can use a flat srewdriver to wind the srew though.
i have never seen snapped screws on a wma but i always use a cordless drill with a torque setting to tighten them.
if you split the tub halves don’t forget to replace the tub seal.

    Re: whirlpool parts

the tumble dryer stat can be removed without taking the drum out if you have a small ratchet with torx driver bits, ( OTHERWISE ITS EASIER TO REMOVE DRUM )

have you checked the green exhaust thermostat at the front of the tumble dryer, part number 481227128369.

Thanks Martin.Already had the drum assembly out so i took it outside and flushed it through with a hose pipe. This worked well, and not too long a job.Cheers.

Just like to say that i have now fitted a new motor and all is fine.took a look at the hall effect sensor on the old motor but could not see any physical fault.
